Comments: Have to disagree with Stacy. We stay there every year and love it. Staff are friendly. Food is good. As far as same desserts every night, they bake different cakes each day and other different desserts. Of course they offer flan nightly it is Mexico and a typical popular mexican dessert! We have been there in April, October, February and have never noticed alot of kids in the pool. There is a separate wading pool for kids. Perhaps Stacy was there when there was a local Mexican holiday which would explain the kids in the pool. It is a moderate rated hotel and attracts Mexican tourists and regular loyal repeat tourists from Canada and the US. Due to local city by-law the bar does close early as it is open air and there is a noise by-law for all hotels in the area to stop all noise so local condo owners and renters and homeowners have peace and quiet. The guests just take their partying indoors to the local bars in the area. |

Comments: We stayed there in a suite on the ocean in early Jan 2003 and we loved it. If you are used to modern decors it is a bit disappointing but it is clean, roomy, and it grows on you. The food is simple but plentiful and good. The staff is friendly. The pool is nice and there were not very many people using it as the ocean is right there on your doorsteps. The only thing I was not impressed with was the maintenance on the jacuzzi. It was so contaminated with oil that you came out of it as slippery as a fish. I did not report it to staff so I can\'t fault them too much on it. As to the other customer\'s comment about the gate to the ocean being closed at 20:00 hours, the 7 minutes walk around the block is safe and healthy. Even if I\'m a night owl, I enjoyed everything closing at 22:00 hours. It gave me the choice to go out on the town which is a few minutes walk away or to stay in my room and enjoy the sound of the ocean as I recharged my batteries reading a book. At the rate they were charging, I would highly recommend them. |

Comments: I have stayed at the Mesa on two diffrent occasions and both were wonderful. I was there once on a Holliday and the other time was not. During the holliday there are a lot of children as well as when there children are out of school. I loved the food. The people were very friendly and always willing to please. I found my experience there to be very relaxing and enjoyable and would not want to stay anywhere else. |

Comments: I agree with Stacey! We\'ve been staying at Meza del Mar for 7 years now. We have been satisfied with the hotel for the most part and yes, the food does get old at times and to some - would seem like the same old food day after day. This year we ventured down to town for most of our meals and found that we would rather not be at an all-inclusive hotel afterall. There are so many wonderful restaurants in the local area (closer to town) that were just as cheap as paying for an all-inclusive hotel - AND - this was the first trip in which I didn\'t come home with stomach problems (hhmmph - figure that one out). Be prepared for daily breakdowns of the elevators. If you are staying on one of the higher floors, it is quite a hike up. If you are used to the usual Thursday night Mexican fiesta - you might also want to call and see if they are planning to have one. During our trip in April 2005, the hotel cancelled the Mexican fiesta because there weren\'t enough people checked into the hotel. That was dissapointing. Also, there were signs in the rooms announcing that you could now rent for 30 pesos a day a TV and that cable was now in all rooms. But, when I called the front desk, I was told the cable was not working. As were were checking out, and it was a Thursday and no holidays were in the horizon, there must have been a hundred little kids in the lobby with their swimming suits on ready to check in. So, weekends do get quite busy with locals. The staff is always very kind at Mesa del Mar and we know most by names but I think we are going to check out a different place for our next trip. Adios Meza del Mar! |

Comments: I stayed at Club Meza del Mar in April of 2005 with my mom. We had a great time, and we are not two old lady\'s. I am in my early 20\'s and she is in her early 40\'s. We really enjoyed the authentisity of this hotel. You got to feel like you were in the Mexican coulture a lot more than at an american resort. I have stayed in an american resort in vallarta about 6 years ago, and del Mar was much better. My only complaint was the amount of small children running around. I only got in the pool once in 6 days because of that. Other than that it was a great stay with an awesome staff. |

Comments: Club Meza Del Mar is like home to me and my family & friends. We been coming to the hotel twice a year for the last 11 years. The staff is so incredible, some of the nicest people you will ever meet on this earth! The food is always consistent and yummy, nothing gourmet which I appreciate because its hard to find home cooked meals. The rooms are spacious and always clean that overlook some of the most amazing views of the sunsets and lightning shows in September. If your looking for a vacation filled with laughter, great people and authentic accomadations then you will love staying at Meza Del Mar. If your looking for a vacation that is hosted by corporate resort then this is not the place for you! Meza Del Mar provides great experiences for people whom don\'t need an activities director to keep them entertained, the entertainment comes from the people who keep continuing to come back visiting Meza Del Mar! Best Kept Secret in town! |

Comments: I stayed at meza del mar in february of this year and it was wonderful! for my first time in mexico, the staff were very accommodating and everything was very clean. The water was purified and the food was average... great breakfast though. All the popular nightclubs were relatively close and walking to them along the beach was amazing. This hotel is extremely under-rated. |

Comments: I stayed at Meza Del Mar in October 2006 and thought it was wonderful. Club Meza has an atmosphere of Old Mexico, which is what I was looking for. If you want an American hotel, stay in America. |
