We went to Puerto Vallarta in May 2000 and it was the most beautiful holiday in my life!Good climate, many sunhours and no rain! After an 12-hour flight we arrived in Puerto Vallarta and it was like a dream. Very friendly people, many clean beaches and many restaurants and bars. We stayed there for 23 days and it was too short. We stayed in Hotel Playa Los Arcos, situated in Old Vallarta. We recommend this hotel cause there was a private beach for all the hotelguests with free chair and bathtowelservice. The staff of this hotel has got a great feeling for hsopitality. Old Vallarta (downtown) is the best part of the city to stay; shops, restaurants and many things to see are at walking-distance. Don't forget to swim with te dophins, a wonderfull experience. Puerto Vallarta, we will visit you again!!!! Hasta luego!!! Jennifer Veldt <cuenavera@hotmail.com> Purmerend, The Netherlands - Thursday, May 03, 2001 at 09:50:35 (CST)

I was in PV 1n 1992 for the first time, and have been there 12 times since then...I visited Cancun last year, and can not deny it is beautiful, but Vallarta is magic, romantic, traditional, relaxing, and fun ...you can find anything you want. I do not work for any information office, but would gladly share my experiences with anybody interested in it, or anybody visiting soon. I have stayed at Pelicanos Hotel, Playa de Oro (coming back this April), Continental Plaza, Los Arcos, Velas Vallarta (beautiful!),Marriot Casa Magna(impressive!)and a little inexpensive hotel down town Yasmin that offers just the basics. If you are coming soon, and never been there before, get ready to spend a great time, and to see the most pintoresque seaside town in Mexico. Congartulations government and people of Vallarta!! We fell in love with Paradise Village and Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallerta. Plush and relaxing at the resort, and for excitement, board a local bus to Puerto Vallerta and see the sights!!! Take a horesback ride at the Rancho Los Palmas, definitely beautiful scenery, great food, with "stereotype -charming" guides you'll love. Now can you help us? We met a TIM CRANE at Mayan Palace, Nuevo Vallerta, and need to reach him, can anyone put us in touch with him, want to make an offer he'll be interested in! If you can reach him, have him e-mail this address. Thanks. Valerie S. <valstalk@juno.com> Walton, WV USA - Friday, February 02, 2001 at 23:33:32 (CST)

Til Kim Botman! Tak for din hilsen. God ferie! We went to pv and stayed at the royal decameron costa flamingos..next door to the tropical...we found it a fantastic place with its own shows performed to a high standard..the food was very good and all of the staff had plenty of time to help with any queries questions and problems which arose..not that there was many of those. They made a great effort to speak english and we enjoyed it so much that within 48 hours of our return to the uk we had rebooked for the same two weeks in january 2001. The only thing we would change would be the timeshare and trip sales people stopping you every 50 yards in pv itself...but other than that it was fantastic paul leics, uk - Friday, December 29, 2000 at 08:11:56 (CST)

We have sailed on the Dos Ninos cruise for 12 years and have always had the best time on their boat than any other cruise we have taken in Puerto Vallarta. Great Cruise !!! Joe Walace <annie@prodigy.net.mx> Houston, tx USA - Tuesday, December 26, 2000 at 20:09:50 (CST)
Dos Ninos Sailing Ripoff...There's are many good reasons why the good captain of the Dos Ninos sailboat only accepts cash and travelers checks and does not go out on the boat with his passengers. No refunds and no hassles from the credit cards company. We spent $220 USD for 4 to go sailing and snorkeling. When we boarded we were told everything necessary to snorkel was on board. Once underway we were told by the crew that the water had been to stirred up to snorkel for several weeks and the day we went would be no exception. When we returned back at port we found snorkeling to be great at other beaches south of town. Why did we go north? Because the captain has "an arrangement" (again according to the crew" with the proprietor of a beaside bar on the north shore. Coincidently, though all beverages were to be included we weren't told that we had to buy our beverages at the bar for the two hours that we were stranded on the beach with a rocky shoreline that prevented us from even swimming. Finally when it was time to "sail" home so the sail was hoisted, the engine powered up and we motored home with the sail lufting in the breeze. For an hour on the way home we motored in a giant circle while crew fished for bait fish for the next days charter fishing boat that the captain also operates. When we happened to run into the embarassed cruise operator at a local shopping center the next day all he would say to our complaints was that he couldn't control the weather! For Shelley from Canada(your email address was incomplete) Trip to Manzanillo by bus was about 5 hours. we disembarded just North of manzanillo in Barra de Navidad/Melaque. less touristy than PV but still comfortable and great for those on a budget. As far as PV goes, it's not really cheap, but the Los Arcos suites in the Olas Altas neighborhood was very clean, close to everything and 1 block off the beach. Has small refrigerator so you can keep juices et al for breakfast. Hope this helps, j Jay <nedludd@msn.com> Po, USA - Thursday, November 30, 2000 at 12:48:17 (CST)

Just returned yesterday from an amazing week in PV. Went with no expectations as I haven't really enjoyed other Mexican resort areas that much. Had free time share accomodation so away we went...what a fantastic surprise PV was! I love the Carribean but the flavour, the people of PV are superior. If you like downtown strolling, shopping and nightlife, avoid Nuevo Vallarta as the cab fares back and forth to the Malecon area will dent your budget. As far as our personal choices, we ate dinner at Cafe de Olla, four evenings during the eight days we were there. We stayed near the marina area so quite the trek but well worth it! Located in old Vallarta on restaurant row...just ask. The atmosphere, happy service, authenticity and food was the best we have ever experienced inside or outside of Mexico. Say hi to Fermin for us! He will treat you like kings and queens, a very genuine man and his crew. Followup dinner at Cafe de Olla with dancing at The Roxy, live music, good atmosphere. It is nearby. All and all, a safe and happy week! Enjoy!! Cathie Lewis-Hardy <clhardy@attcanada.ca> Vancouver, B.C. Canada - Monday, November 20, 2000 at 17:29:52 (CST)

Frosty <shieldsga@aol.com> Tacoma, Wa USA - Saturday, October 14, 2000 at 11:39:01 (EDT) Does anyone have any information on the Blue Bay Club? We are booked
there in two weeks, and they wont return my e-mails and my phone calls have
not been successful. Our travel agent has been no help with specifics. Like
do they have a suttle from the airport and can we book excursions at the hotel.
Any information would be helpful though, it is our first trip to PV. Going to pv March Break 2001, staying at Mayan Palace, Nuevo Vallarta.
Anyone with any information would be helpful. Daryl Hola! My husband and I returned from our trip to Puerto Vallarta about
two weeks ago, we were there for our honeymoon and I am back to report, that
it was a fabulous trip! I used this site on many occassion to find information
on our resort "the Allegro" and I was dissappointed to find that there was
little written about it, so we went down with little expectations but were
very plesantly surprised. This resort is by far the most beautiful resort
that we saw and in one day we saw about 12 on the city and tropical tour,
as we were dropping off passengers from our tour. The entrance is breathtaking,
the rooms are nice and the pool and beach are fabulous, it is the people however
that make the biggest difference. The men and women at this resort are so
friendly and accomodating you felt like they were your best friend by the
end of the week. The entertainment staff were so energetic it was crazy to
realize that these people start at 7am and do not stop entertaining until
2am. I can't say enough about them, the food was great, the resort was clean
and there was always something to do. I don't want to say that this was the
perfect place for everyone because we could see it's disadvantages as well.
If you really want to explore Puerto Vallarta and especially the flea market
and the Malecon, this resort or any resort in Nuevo Vallart may not be your
best choice. It is quite a distance to the Malecon district and be prepared
to walk. My husband had a brace on at the time and he was in so much pain.
The cab ride back was 120peso (20 canadian) which is expensive for a cab,
but it was worth it to venture out to the Malecon. We went shopping and to
"Hooters Puerto Vallarta" now there's an experience if you're missing home!
We both highly recommend the "city and tropical tour" it was fun and we got
to do the tourist thing, but they try and get you to spend your money on jewellery
by stopping there to use the bathroom, wait until you get home it really is
just the same price. The highlight was the tequilla distillery! Wow, cheap
prices and a lot of fun! Overall our impression was great, the ocean was wonderful
even if the beaches are white sand, but it still provided the necessary service--fun!
I hope that those that are looking for information on the allegro will enjoy
our review, we really did have a great time and it's not just for honeymooners,
there was a vast variety of ages and families. Have fun and enjoy, we have
so many memories and great pictures (some by Popo at the resort, what a guy,
so friendly and the pictures are like professional portraits!) All the Best!
Mark and Melody, Canada! We are planning a vacation in April to PV and hope to do some scuba diving.
Would love any comments from divers who have experienced diving there. For Cindy in the Netherlands - go to the main page of this website, you
will find "puerto vallarta Links"....click on that and then click on Puerto
Vallarta Real Estate. You will find listings of realtors with properties to
rent throughout PV. If you don't want to do a hotel room, try a one bedroom
condo instead - you can almost always find someone with good deals. i really like this site! i have an adventure show online and am always
researching and gathering information online! What a great resource this site
is! Complete with maps! Stefanie Great site! I visit almost daily...especially now since I coming to PV
next week. Keep it up; a great source of information. My friend en me went to PV 2 weeks ago, we stayed in San Marino Plaza,
a very nice and clean hotel. We had a great time, that's why I want to return
for a month in the beginning of 2001. But I need a place to stay and I am
not really looking for a hotel room, maybe somebody can give me suggestions,
like an appartment or a room-for-rent. I am waiting for your answer! And for
any one who is planning to go to PV: Brasil is an excellent grill restaurant,
and if you want to have fun in a discotheque: Go to the Electric Chair, very
hot in there but Mexican/Latin atmosphere: so just perfect! Como puedo incluir el libro de La Magia de Puerto Vallarta y Discover
Puerto Vallarta en el sitio, es posible hacer un link Shelly, Leave your e-mail address, the one listed does not work, or e-mail
me...I have info for you... My husband and I are flying to PV on January 3rd. We've never been there
before, and we want to stay only in budget hotels and have not booked anything
yet. If anyone can recommend anything (with prices in CDN dollars or pesos,
peferably), we would greatly appreciate it. Please e-mail your responses to
my address. Also, has anyone taken the bus from PV to Manzanillo? If so, how
much was it and how long did it take? Thank you. hola laura te acuerdas de mi,soy la hija de salvador barba saludo!!!!!!!!!! We are leaving for P.V. on Saturday and staying at the La Palapa condos...
has anyone stayed there, or have any info on them? ALSO, any suggestions on
where to get a professional massage? THANKS! :-) Well, I have 17 days and counting until I am back in heaven for the second
time this year....to all my new "amigas" and "amigos" from the bulletin board,
it's been great talking with you and trading info with all you soon to be
"pv-aholics" - I hope we all helped you to have a great trip. And to all the

the sun and the surff. Please go and feel the warmth for youself it's wonderful. Hi what is the name of the restraunt downtown off a side street that
is open concept that overlooks the street at the back of the restraunt.??? ********WARNING******** Although PV is a wonderful place beware of the
tour operators called HARRIS TOURS. They will lie to get your business and
then deny any and all claims. I filed a complaint with the Mexican tourist
bureau and was told they were aware of the problem and cannot do anything
about it. Ha! Harris Tours is big and I guest they have paid off the officials
to look the other way. Again, great place to visit just avoid Harris Tours
unless you like being stranded in a bus without food water or a/c! Please tell us what it's like at the Paradise Village hotel resort area
and what it offers and how can we get around by bus to the center of PV and
what the best day trips are...Thank you. Hi Everyone! I travelled to PV in February of 2000 and absolutely loved
it. We enjoyed it so much we are planning a return trip in January of the
new year. While there I stayed at the Blue Bay Getaway. The staff was very
kind and hospitable, and the prices were very reasonable. We had an all inclusive
package which I would recomend to everyone. The beaches are beautiful, as
well as the town and surroundings. I have travelled to Cancun, MAxatlan, and
Puerto Vallarta, and would pick PV as my favorite place. Enjoy your self! Can not believe that this trip to PV in 6 weeks will be our 14th year
there. It just seems to get better all the time. Love it, Love it Love it!!! Would like to hear from anyone who has been to Melia or Holday Inn PV.
We are travelling there in late Nov. with a 10 yr. old and looking for a kid
friendly atmosphere. Any info appreciated. I would like to know if Carlos is still working at hoetel Suites Del
Sol. Is there anybody who can give me this information. Thank you. we are going to PVR in December and staying at the Blue Bay Getaway (next
to the Sheraton) does anyone know what it's like?? We are going to PV in September and are staying at the Las Palmas Beach
Resort. Can anyone tell us what it's like there? I love this place! We are heading to PV the end of Oct. we are staying at the Mayan Palace
Nuevo Vallarta. Any suggestions on where to eat and what to do would be appreciated. Looking to get to P.V. in Feb,2000. This would be our 3rd time there.
Anyone have any info or input on the Villa Del Palmer resort ? Deep-sea fishing
? or the Bora Bora cruise ? Is El Set still there ? Correct email for previous statement asking about Royal Decameron in
PV. Thank you I am planning a vacation to PV for Jan. I was wanting to get any information
possible on The Royal Decameron Costa Flamigos. Greatly appriciated. I recently visited Puerto Vallarta on August 15-20. This was my first
time visiting Mexico and let me tell you what an experience. We stayed at
Velas Vallarta Grand Suite. The people there were very friendly and attentive.
Puerto Vallarta is beautiful and full of culture. It is a true paradise. My wife and I have been visiting PV every year since 1979. It is our
second home and we have many friends to visit when we are there. The Gonzalez
family are our dearest friends and we have enjoyed their family since 1980.
Juan Ramon is the owner of Palomar de Los Gonzalez restaurant on Aguacate
Avenue. His father Ramon was a dear friend of ours. We have traveled throughout
the immediate area and yet we find something new each year. Even though the
city has grown, it still remains unspoiled. I love this place!!! There´s no place like PV. I´ve been to other beach
resorts in Mexico, but Puerto Vallarta is the best... We will be going to PV at the end of September and are thinking of staying
at Allegro Resort Nuevo Vallarta. Any comments on the resort? Any suggestions
for easy (cheap!) ways to get to town? Also, we are newly certified divers
wanting to do our first ocean dives while there. Any suggestions? We just got back from Puerto Vallarta and thought the area and city was
absolute beautiful. I had only one small problem with the area and that was
the "pungent smell" of the downtown city area. The city should put in trash
baskets and public restrooms all along areas where they can be used by all.
I didn't see any public restrooms or very many trash cans. Just thought you
might mention it to the Mayor. Thanks. Oh! also stop lights down town, we
almost got ran over tying to cross the streets and I know we don't have the
right away, but you would think the traffic could come to a halt every once
in a while. Thanks again. Dixie Harrison Texas We just returned from PV (Aug 9-16). We stayed at Playa Del Sol Condo
on the south side of town. The beach was terrific! We got a great bargain--brand
new 2 bdr. condo for $95/nite through Sergio at Tropicasa Realty. We loved
the sunset cruise on the Marigalante, and the trip up to El Eden where Predator
II was made in a VW convertible was the highlight of the trip! (Actually,
it was very scary w/ the narrow, washed out road.) The people at PV were awesome!
Can't wait to go again! Patrice If anyone want massages and treatments called Terra Noble 2225400, is
the unique holistis place to go. Just an expirience. Congratulations to Alex Herrera, of La Marigalante Pirate Ship. The newest
little Pirate was born this afternoon. It's a GIRL! Your beautiful daughter
was born today in McKinney, Texas, USA at 5:09 P.M. She weighs 7.12 pounds.
Karla is doing great. I took a lot of photographs for you. Mother and daughter
are healthy and happy. Does anyone have any DETAILED information on Club Marival in Nuevo Vallarta?
Thank you! Anyone have any info on the Melia Puerto Vallarta Resort or the Crown
Paradise Club Resort? Is early Aug. a good time to travel to P.V? Okay, so I did this once, sorry if it shows up twice...Does anyone know
about the Pirate Ship Marigalante? Also, how are the food prices at the hotels
in PV??? We stayed at the Melia San Lucas a few months back and it seemed
pricy...Thanks for your email answers Oh yes, and what about the Pirate Ship Marigalante?? Thanks... We're going to PV in a few weeks. Does anyone know much about the La
Jolla Mismolya?? How's the food? Weather in late May early June? Any suggestions
on good mexican food???Thanks alot. |
