Re:Dolphina...
Of course the owners don't have them there only for educational purposes, but they do educate... as well as or better than animals kept in the thousands of zoos around the world. Sure we can cry over how they are caught, but the point stands, that they may be doing more good in captivity in educatin...

Double standards
Interesting subject, there are innumerable sides and all can turn into a very fiery dispute. In my opinion, most people live with too many double standards... eating meat and then making fuss over how the animals are mistreated; talking about human rights and then going in to buy clothes in the near...

Re:Attitudes?
Yeah, some of the members do not have a very positive attitude but I wouldn't take those as representative of the general attitudes in Puerto Vallarta. First because the people posting are not the locals, or at least in a very small proportion, most posters are from Canada or USA. Secondly, on a boa...

Re: Gekkos, etc.
As all good places that haven't been completely destroyed by "human" beings there are lots of creatures all over the place in Mexico :-) luckily! As a Biologist I can tell you that you shouldn't be scared at all of the small harmless gekkos and lizards, they'll surely be more scared of seeing you th...

Never had any problems with major credit cards, Visa, Amex and Mastercard, other lesser known ones can be a problem. Regarding exhange rates at hotel, avoid them as much as possible use only for emergencies.

Hi there, I think this will be a long rant... who knows? Having lived years in USA, in Denmark, Chile, Spain and now Mexico (the last 4 years) and having travelled to over 30 countries in most continents (not bragging, just to give you an idea of what I have seen, so you place a bit of worth on my c...

Allegro and time
Hi there, The time here is CDT. Allegro is in Nuevo Vallarta, that's quite a way away from Puerto Vallarta... you get the benefit of staying at a luxy all-inclusive hotel and at the same time, that will be your problem... If you are going to go into town do so as many times as possible and forget th...

Hi there, I stayed there a year and half ago more or less. The place is quite nice, the rooms aren't really luxurious but are comfortable enough (3 star more or less), the greatest plus of the hotel was the location, the view, the breakfasts. The hotel is located uphill from the Old part of Puerto V...

Re:I can assist you with your hotel accommodations!
Hi there, I would like to clarify something. Rezrez doesn't have access to all the rooms of any hotel. Hotels assign them (and any reservation provider) with a certain amount of rooms to sell, once they are all sold you can't continue to sell the hotel and must try to see if the client would want a ...

Hi there, Of course you must be smart when buying stuff, for one, I never buy sunscreen anywhere else than in Supermarkets, any other place you'll end up paying double. Secondly ANY airport, ANYWHERE in the world is the MOST expensive place to buy sodapop or water... so am I surprised you found it e...

La Jolla de Mismaloya hotel
(Notice the hotel name so you learn how to write it, complicated...) ...Anyway what you say is just NOT true, the beach is smaller, yes, but it has not disappeared, and the explantaion you give is a FAR cry from anything that did happen :-) anyway you can check some info out on the hotel site: http:...

Hi there,
You just use normal pesos, no tokens. I would recommend to never try to pay the bus with a bill over 20 and always try your best to have the exact amount, that'll make your life easier
Kind regards

Re:Camino Real
Hi, Just checking on a map I calculate the distance is between 3 or 4 kilometers (2-3 miles). You won't be able to do that by the beach as the beach is not uninterrupted in that section of the bay, rocks and cliffs cut it from time to time. Going on the road could be a possibility, but see if it's s...

Anyway, the Continental Plaza hotel is listed on the hotel database here on the site and the link works, ...

The food is so-so alright, mostly liked the pastries, I wasn't able to go to the Dunas Rest., reserve the moment you arrive at BBG, I was only two days and it was full three days in advance. The rooms are great! They are the biggest I have seen yet in PV [compared with normal rooms at Velas, PuertoD...
