I don't post much here, mostly lurk and try and glean a little information if and when I can. I happen to know a few of the posters and know for a fact their input is genuine and truthful. What puts me off is when somebody goes through the trouble to join the board, only posts once, and then only to...

We have walked the streets of PV with you Shecky in the wee hours of the night..morning.. and have sat in the real deal cantina and never feared.. Just had a lot of fun... Cantina's are generally safe... unless you are in small town Mexico and there are 3 Columbians who insist that you get drunk wi...

Can you get accurate crime stats in Mexico? I do get your point, a friend and I were sitting on the patio at Pure/Caesars Palace and saw a shooting across the street near Ballys during the NBA ASG weekend. And it didn't involve Pacman Jones this time. In all honesty, I never really feared for ...

No Fly Zones: PV - Easter PV - Christmas Las Vegas - NBA Allstar Weekend Seriously, I'm a big guy that has been all over Mexico but the hassles associated with PV over, say, Easter are not worth it. Sure, there is no need to "hide" in your hotel room but it's also a pain to have to constantly survey...

They must not know any better or can't afford anything better. This quote is pretty much all I need to know about you since, obviously, price played a part in your decision. Otherwise, you would have been at the Four Seasons. I can afford pretty much any hotel I want and have stayed at the HI 3 tim...

Destilladeras Beach
Not too sure about the bus from The Palladium. As for your second question, there are 3 or 4 palapa type restaurants on the beach with full facilities. Honestly, a day at this beach can't be beat, I rank it slightly ahead of Punta de Mita. In fact the only better beach, imo, is Las Animas but it's v...

Destilederas
We always tell the driver that we want off at the beach and he stops right at the access road. From there it's about a 30 second walk down to the beach.
The bus picks us up in the same spot as well.

Drinks prices
Those are nightclub prices which makes them somewhat unique and in line with many nightclubs in Mexico and the rest of the world.
Vegas clubs are now charging around $8/beer and $16/martini give or take.

AI
AI is prerfect for an insular euro-socialist canuck, willing to grind the face of the poor and needy of Mexico all for the sake of a tan and a cheap drunk.
Spud, face it, you love AI because you're as cheap as a shoe-clerk.

If you go bring lots of beer, and maybe some ear plugs for when Howard gets going.
What day are we going Howard? I've been busier than a one armed picture hanger lately and forgetting everything.

Felipe's
We've dined at Felipe's 3 times from Jan 98 until around Spring '01. While the food quality seemed to tail off prices consistently went up (which, in Mexico is expected). The closer for us is when they placed a time share shill to work the room. We have a one strike policy when it comes to this, so ...
