Vallarta Adventures
I just got back from wonderful Puerto Vallarta and felt I need to let you all know something that Vallarta Adventures did. We booked 3 things with them for our week. The Dolphin Encounter, Rhythyms of the Night, and Las Caletas by day. We also booked a couple of other tours with other places, so whe...

Dolphin Enounter
In my research I am finding that there are 2 different Dolphin Encounters. One at the Vallarta Adventure site and another at the waterpark. Is this correct? And can anyone recommend one or the other? And, while I am asking......can anyone tell me about the waterpark? Is it wonderful? Thanks for your...

Personally, I was referencing the remark that the shop keepers were rude to tourists- that was not said by you! CLEARLY, you LOVE PV! :) I can't help but wonder what benefit it would be to the shopkeeper to be rude to their customers? I have however, seen customers be rude to them! It would be nice ...

Not happened with us in 22 years of visiting. I find the shop keepers and vendors 99% pleasant and helpful. I suppose any retail merchant, sales people and help can have a lapse. It is certainly not the norm. I second your comment. I haven't experienced the rudeness the previous post talks of. Sandi

I haven't encountered any RUDE people that live in PV, only rude tourists visiting! I'm sure everyplace has it's share of inconsiderate people, but I really dislike the ones who are responsible for giving Americans the reputation of UGLY AMERICANS. I don't know if that family you were talking about ...

USD to Pesos
OK! Thanks everyone! When you put it that way, I get it! I usually just figure 10 to 1. Guess I never really thought how that would add up over the course of a week! So Sterling, Bof A, or Cambrio it is! I usually come home with some coin and a couple of 200 bills in Pesos and just save them for the...

Exchanging USD for Pesos?
I know it really isn't necessary as we have been to PV three times and have never exchanged our money, but I am now wondering if we should? Is there any benefit to the locals or to us to do an exchange? Sandi

Rhythms of the Night
My hub and I went last November and had a terrific time. The crew on the boat were just hysterically funny and took excellent care of us. We never felt rushed at all. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and we danced on the boat in the moonlight. It was a great time! When we go back next month we are...

Thank you both SO MUCH! So, I am gathering to just stay away from the right side if possible because of construction noise. I did contact the hotel a couple of weeks ago and requested that we get a room with 2 beds, rather than a King and they said almost all the rooms of the type we are getting do ...

I will be staying at VDP in April and am wondering if there is a section or area of rooms I might want to request, and do you think if we tip the desk are we more likely to get our request, or would they be upset with us. If we should tip the desk to get a good room or great view, what amount would ...

Re: Beware of Velas Vallarta Resort
[quote="celticsgod"]Just returned from a weeklong trip to beautiful PV. The trip was excellent with the exception of our stay at Velas Vallarta in the Marina District. I would highly recommend avoiding this resort. My husband and I got tricked into a timeshare presentation from this place when we we...

Re: TS vultures
My hub and I went to PV for our 3rd time last Nov. One day, he went golfing and I took the bus downtown to wander. I was so accustomed to the TS people trying to talk to us, but guess what? A single woman walking alone only got a "hello" as I walked past! How cool is that? Only thing, I LIKE going d...
