First timer with a probably silly question..

We are going to be staying in Nuevo Vallarta and I was wondering what shoes are best for the beach...are the beaches sandy or a bit rocky? This will decide whether we have water shoes or flip flops

The beaches are sandy. We did alot of boogie boarding, and you can go aways out and still be only chest deep in the water, and I don't ever remember wishing that I had swim shoes. This is in front of Paradise Village.

Barefoot is the way I go...thongs are in my hands...
