I have to replace my mexican cell phone this trip, I gave my old one to our housekeeper she was thrilled to have it. Any idea what is the best deal at present for a pre paid card phone. I'm in pitillal but any place as far as the hotel zone would be OK. Can I just by a SIM card for my canadian phone and switch them out when I go back and forth?

Any Telcel kiosk can sell you the latest offer. It will be a really basic locked phone. There are 4 stores on Insurgentes west side north of the farmacia that will enable you to comparison shop for a better phone.

Only unlocked GSM world phones can be equipped with a Telcel SIM card. A dual band phone might work in PV.
