Zip Line Tour

Post by Big Brian » Sun Apr 06, 2008 1:14 am

I am going in May and my wife and I wanted to try one of these tours. My question is I weigh 285lbs. Are there any that I can go on?

I guess its too late for a crash diet then. Last time I checked they said 220lbs. I was just hoping maybe there was one that could hold someone bigger.

Vallarta Adventures claims they will allow at 275, but I'd be skeptical.

I know Los Veranos is 250, and they will weigh anyone who looks to be remotely close to that.

It's a safety issue.

Oh, what the heck. Tell them you weigh 200 lbs and just go. I'll just bet you don't crash and burn. Have fun. Chuck... 8)

Los Veranos does weigh everyone close and if you are over 250, you can not go. Everything is posted at the check in location and the weigh in can be fairly embarrassing as its in front of everyone. There was one person who was weighed in and not happy as he thought he was in Mexico and it would be OK if he was 265.

The help said he couldn't go, even if his entire family backed out, for his own safety. The help is wonderful up there and it is great to see that they do not want to endanger anyone.
