Does anyone know where the beach is that the tours take you to watch the turtles? Is it possible to go there on your own?

Hola
We were in PV late OCT. It seems that most of the hotels now have their own release program. We just showed up at about 6PM at the fiesta Americana and got to hold/release baby turtles. It was GREAT! Check with your hotel, or call the Fiesta and get in on their program (they dont know/care if you are staying there or not). Hope this helps.

The turtle tours are in September/October, when the babies are born. The turtles come up and lay their eggs on the beach in June. If you are going outside of September or October, you will be out of luck for this tour.

However, there is still great whale watching until the end of April! And dolphins year round playing in the bay.
