Andales, Cafe de Olla, CyC, El Dorado and La Palapa all have good breakfast selections. La Palapa is more upscale and is priced accordingly. They do have the best sweet rolls imo, with Andales a very close second.

Desayuno

Regular breakfast menu at La Playita, Lindo Mar Resort.

The brunch on the weekends is very good but gets very busy, so I think my preference is the regular menu on a weekday. Very inexpensive for what you get too, with most items in the 30 to 50 peso range (a couple of more expensive Mexican breakfast options available too).

Inexpensive breakfast with one of the most breathtaking views of the bay around. Eat late enough and you can just roll right into Happy Hour too (IMO, the best pour on the bay).

:-)4 I keep forgetting about La Playita Jen, and we stay at Lindo Mar LOL!
They serve great fruit smoothies, caution tho, I've noticed that a little tax referred to as IVA is making it's way on to some bills. Question it and refuse to pay it if this happens.

Now that iI remember the name, I'd like to give honorable mention to Langostinos, on Los Muertos near Cuates y Cuetes. Had a great breakfast there once

Boca Bento on Basilio Badillo serves a great breakfast for under 50 pesos.

Breakfast

Post by Jennybean » Tue Mar 11, 2008 5:41 pm

I keep forgetting Las Margaritas on B. Badillo.

If Memo's or Fredy's are lined up, go to Las Margaritas. Really good breakfast and really decent prices. This is a dinner fave for me and I usually remember with about 2 days to go in the vacation that they serve breakfast too - memory isn't something I pack when I go on holidays.

There has been so much great response on this topic. I am going to have to write them all down before we go. Like you JB I will most likely not remember. As I see the "breakfast joints" their names will sound familiar but I won't know for sure unless I take notes before we go.

as usual, thank you E1 for great responses. I am so glad I found this site before we went our first time because it has been HUGE on decision makings for us while on vacation in paradise. This being our 5th trip in 5 years.

adios,
T.

LindoMar Breakfast

Post by jrgfallbrook » Mon Mar 24, 2008 11:21 pm

LindoMar is the best kept secret in town (or just out of town actually). Buffet on weekends can't be beat. Seating is open air on water level. To die for view. Best waiter in the place, hands down - Luis :D

Best Breakfast

Post by MN_Snowbird » Sat Apr 05, 2008 3:06 am

I'm trying to refresh my memory. We ate at Memo's and found it to be great and then also at a place just close by on the other side of the street. Anyone know what the other place would have been. They were both very good.

Since we do not live anywhere near the ocean, We like to have breakfast right on the beach. Langistinos is our choice. Good food, nice people, dig your toes into the sand. Enjoy. :-)4

That does not make me happy at all, we really enjoyed the place. I can't tell you how many times we arrived there unannounced with a large group and were always very well taken care of.

And when there was a wait at Fredy's we could always get a great breakfast there.

Bruce, any chance of Roberto taking it back?

Agree there Ted. I do not think that there was one time since 2002, that we did not eat there with you and a group at least once.

too bad that Las Margaritas is no mas, we would eat there at least twice every trip.
Cuates y Cuetes aka CyC, has good breakfast fare as well, they are beside Langostino's. Off the beach, Kit Kat is good too.
