Need Advice for all ages

Post by hayjade » Mon Nov 13, 2006 7:53 pm

my first post here...Hello to all!! :D

I have been to PV once before with my husband but am taking the whole family for thankgiving week....we are celebrating my moms 80th and I have 3 girls 24, 18, 15. Anyone have advice for when we are all sick of each other and need a night of independence? My 24 and 18 year old would like some night life however they are very conservative in their musical tastes and drinking. But would appreciate some male eye candy  . My 15 and 24yo love karaoke.
Gramma will love the river area, any place with some easy listening music? None of us like the wild loud disco type places.
Would appreciate your advice.
Also as far as the big dinner night for gramma, we thought The Cliff would be a lovely spot but am still open to suggestions..she loves a lot of attention!

No one will give their guests more attention than Bruce at Bruce's Back Alley Bistro in Old Town. You'll all LOVE the food! (And maybe even like Bruce! ) just kidding (about the Bruce part). If you want view...go Le Kliff, if you want personal attention and great food...go see Bruce.

now there are two really nice suggestions... and the River Cafe on occassion has a nice jazz or blues singer there... there is a karoke bar called "The Shower" on the same street as the Blue Shrimp and de Santos for those that want to sing... it doesn't really get hopping until late though... Also the Blue Shrimp and de Santos have excellent food too, and they both have jazz and blues clubs up above their restaurants... you have all kinds of places to escape.... just my two cents worth....

but if you go see Bruce, make sure you remind him to put garlic in the "garlic mashed potatoes"... LOL just teasing your Brucey buddy...

Bruce´s

Post by helenf » Thu Nov 16, 2006 7:28 pm

Well Sylvia,

I sure hope we can get in to Bruce´s tonight. All I got was an answering machine so I couldn´t make reservations. Oh well, we are going to head down there tonight anyways and we are meeting Ellen!

The above is my post...

Now added to my post are the words below..I did not write that..

also on a post in General ..I responded to helen asking her who Luis was..I went to modify my post to add on asking Helen to please tell us about her ATV tour and Yelapa day trip..When I went back to modify my post the Who is Luis question was gone..
I put it back in the post..
I am wondering who can play around on our posts once they are posted.
Thank You!!

If it is just a joke then say so and I will laugh with you..

Slyvia, I remember your post and you are correct.

What it looks like to me that (and I'm taking a guess here) Tom went to reply with a quote and instead hit the edit button.

Tom? :?:  :?:

That one I'm not sure about. I didn't get to read the first posting. Sorry.
