| Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta |
|
We are considering flying into Guadalajara and spending a couple of days in the City before heading to Puerto Vallarta.
How far is the airport from the City and how do you get to the bus station.
Have others flown into Guadalajara and then taken the bus to PV?
Just looking for some information from other travelers.
Thanks

Don't know the distance from the airport to the bus station. But taking a bus is easy and if you take Primera Plus they are very comfortable, you can strech out and has leg rests. The seats recline and you have head phones for the TV.
Here's the link for times, prices and you can reserve. It's in English.

I have traveled on Omni and Primera and both are good.

That is a great idea. In Guadalajara I recommend visiting the center (Cathedral, Teatro degollado, and palacio gobierno), Tlaquepaque (it´s so beatiful, Vallarta town center should be like that) and try the fantastic restaurants of the city.
It will take you 5 hours by bus from GDL to PVR (depending on traffic),the center is like 45 minutes from the airport (also depending on traffic) and taxi should cost you like 250 pesos. Stay around Avenida MExico as that makes it easier to move around.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your information. From GDL to PVR try ETN. It is a nice bus line and very comfortable. You can get tickets in many agencies throughout the city. They have thirteen scheduled departures to PVR and the tip takes 4.45 hours.
Thanks a lot

It is about a 30 minute cab ride into town. (Unless you get a maiac like we did!) _________________ For the fun of it ... Keith
