What should I do if my cash and ATM/credit cards get lost/stolen on vacation? Hi everyone... I'm in the US and traveling to Europe in the winter. It just occurred to me that if my cash & ATM/credit cards get lost/stolen, what do I do? We are planning on taking some cash, 1 ATM card, and a Visa credit card. That feels sufficient, but in case we have a stoke of bad luck, I'm kind of in the dark about our next step. Any help? Thanks!

You are going to Europe and asking about a situation in Europe and posting it on a Puerto Vallarta Mexico board? Unless there is more to this story, I suggest you go to Trip Advisor and ask there on the forum for the country you will spend most time in. Chuck...

Since it's under warnings are you warning us not to go to Europe? Never really cared for it so don't worry I won't go!

call visa and your bank to cancel them if lost, do not carry them together and your bank should be able to send you emergency cash to wherever you ask them to do so
