If you continue further northward after Nuevo Vallarta you’ll pass Bucerías, following the Pacific edge of the Banderas Bay you’ll find La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and La Manzanilla Beach, later Destiladeras Beach, then right on the northernmost point of the Bay, Punta de Mita and its popular Anclote Beach, along Pacific coast going north out of the bay you have Litibú, Sayulita, and San Pancho.

In the bay and just outside its protection, some impressive islands and scuba sites include El Morro, La Corbeteña, and the Marietas Islands.
