Promising signs for the upcoming summer season! Puerto Vallarta continues to surpass the national average in tourist occupancy, with hotel rates ranging from 65% to 70% as the school year draws to a close.
Arturo Dávalos Peña, the General Director of Beach Tourism for the Jalisco State Ministry of Tourism, shared positive data from the Monitoring of Occupancy in Tourist Lodging Services (DATATUR Jalisco).
DATATUR data for week 24 (June 10-16, 2024) revealed an average hotel occupancy rate of 56.9% across 12 selected destinations in Mexico, representing a 0.1% increase from the previous week. Puerto Vallarta, with its 67.4% occupancy, stood above the national average.
Puerto Vallarta’s strong performance ahead of the summer season highlights its enduring appeal as a top tourist destination and bodes well for a promising year ahead.
