Puerto Vallarta is experiencing a record-breaking summer season, with hotel occupancy rates soaring to 78.6%. This surpasses last year’s figures by a significant margin. Over 240,000 tourists have visited the destination so far, generating a substantial economic impact of over 3.5 billion pesos.
The surge in tourism is driven primarily by domestic visitors, accounting for 71.5% of all arrivals. The remaining percentage is split between the United States, Canada, and other countries.
With these impressive results, Puerto Vallarta is poised to end 2024 with unprecedented tourism figures.
