The Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta has reported a significant surge in passenger traffic during the first nine months of 2024. According to Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), the airport welcomed a total of 5.09 million passengers, marking a 3.7% increase in international traffic compared to the same period last year.
Of the total passenger count, 42% were domestic travelers, while 58% were international visitors. The United States and Canada continue to be the primary source markets, with 26 destinations in the U.S. and 17 in Canada served by the airport.
Looking ahead to the upcoming winter season, the airport is expecting even more growth with a total of 57 destinations, including 13 domestic, 17 in Canada, 26 in the United States, and one in Europe.
