In a significant move towards a more sustainable future, the government of Jalisco has established the Secretariat of Sustainable Energy Development (SEDES).
This new department, which began operations on January 1st, aims to position Jalisco as a leader in sustainable energy practices and attract substantial domestic and foreign investment.
The primary goal of SEDES is to ensure a reliable supply of clean and renewable energy. By doing so, the state not only contributes to environmental protection but also enhances its competitiveness in the global marketplace.
Manuel Herrera Vega, the head of SEDES, emphasized the growing importance of sustainability in attracting investment.
