Puerto Vallarta is marking its 107th municipal anniversary with a unique artistic celebration: the “Puerto Vallarta from the Heart” exhibition. Unveiled on Thursday, May 29th, in Plaza de Armas, this display features heart-shaped sculptures transformed by local artists, each piece reflecting the distinct identity of the city.
This vibrant initiative was spearheaded by the current administration with support from the Directorate of Tourism and the Vallarta Institute of Culture. Artists representing various delegations and neighborhoods across the municipality participated in the exhibition. These include Juan Macedo from Las Palmas, Kika from Ixtapa, Samir/Inkfame from Las Juntas, Diana Hernández from Mojoneras, and Sharo García from El Pitillal.
Further contributions came from Norman Morales representing Marina Vallarta, Troglodita from Versalles, Blacklatexx from 5 de Diciembre, and Rivers from the Zona Romántica. Each artist brought their unique perspective and style to their “heart,” collectively painting a diverse picture of what it means to be a “Vallartense.”
