Nayarit took center stage this Thursday, hosting three significant national gatherings focused on health, housing, and mobility. These events brought together federal, state, and municipal authorities, along with representatives from academia and the private sector.
The day began with the National Health Education Summit, where discussions centered on critical topics such as universal access to medical services. Laura Cortés Sanabria, Director of Quality and Health Education for the federal Ministry of Health, emphasized the urgent need to transition towards a healthcare model that prioritizes prevention, primary care, and respect for diversity.
Following this, the XXXVIII National Meeting of the National Council of State Housing Organizations (CONOREVI) was inaugurated in Nuevo Nayarit. This forum served as a platform to discuss strategies aimed at improving access to dignified housing. José Alfonso Iracheta, Director of the National Institute of Sustainable Land, announced that the “Housing for Well-being” program is planning the construction of over one million homes nationwide.
The day concluded with the 32nd National Meeting of Mobility Authorities. During this event, representatives from various states across the country shared strategies for developing safer and more sustainable transportation systems. The inauguration included discussions on coordinated measures to enhance road safety and improve the efficiency of mobility services.
