Canta Jalisco Canta 2026 will bring its traveling regional-audition stage to Puerto Vallarta on September 18, giving local singers a late-window chance to join the statewide competition.
The official Jalisco announcement says the fourth edition of the contest, organized by the Agencia Estatal de Entretenimiento with Grupo Promomedios, uses a mobile Tráiler Concert stage to visit municipalities across the state. The Puerto Vallarta stop is one of the final regional dates before Chapala closes the route on September 24, adding a music-focused option to the city’s events calendar and broader arts-and-culture scene.
Registration remains open until August 31. The call is for solo performers 18 and older, who can submit three photos and a video performance by WhatsApp at 33-1573-6252 or by email at eventos.trailerconcert@gmail.com. Jalisco reported 87 people registered so far, with earlier eliminations already held in Ocotlán, Tlajomulco, Lagos de Moreno and San Miguel el Alto.
Selected performers advance to a semifinal in Guadalajara on October 8, followed by the October 10 grand final at Auditorio Benito Juárez during Fiestas de Octubre 2026. The winner receives 100,000 pesos, recording of a song for a discographic project and one year of radio promotion. Visitors interested in hearing emerging regional talent should watch organizers’ channels for the exact Puerto Vallarta venue and time before planning an outing near downtown Puerto Vallarta.
