Puerto Vallarta’s municipal government is inviting families, schools, and local groups to join sea turtle hatchling releases at Holi Beach, known locally as Playa del Holly. The Dirección de Sostenibilidad Ambiental says the first hatchlings of the season are ready for the sea.
If you have wanted to see a Puerto Vallarta sea turtle release up close, this is the city’s current public invitation. Holi Beach sits in the Hotel Zone, so it is an easy stop for visitors staying along the northern hotel strip.
Group space is limited. Anyone coming with a school, company, or organization should register first through the Dirección de Sostenibilidad Ambiental’s official Facebook page, which is also where the office is posting dates and times. Wear comfortable clothes and sandals.
People who attend can optionally bring cleaning supplies or dog and cat food for the Dirección de Bienestar Animal and hand them over on arrival. Confirm what is still needed when you register.
The invitation does not name a single public hour, because hatchling releases depend on when nests emerge. Check the registration page before you go, and give the hatchlings a clear path to the water. This is a conservation activity on a working beach, not a photo stop that should slow them down.
