The Golfer with Dolphins, Octavio Gonzalez Gutierrez

Octavio Gonzalez Gutierrez is slowly becoming the artist with most sculptures around town, his love of the sea and beautiful sea creatures, both real and mythological, make him a favorite in Puerto Vallarta.

Not one of the better-known sculptures of Octavio Gonzalez Gutierrez mostly due to its location at the entrance of the CasaMagna Marriott hotel in Marina Vallarta.

The Golfer with Dolphins, Octavio Gonzalez Gutierrez

This fountain and sculpture depict a golfer and two jumping dolphins. This is no longer the only golf sculpture the artist has made as recently another one of his sculptures, depicting world champion female golfer Lorena Ochoa, was inaugurated on the Malecon II in downtown Puerto Vallarta. His best known and best-placed sculpture is the Vallarta Whale.
