foody week report

Post by femme » Tue May 22, 2007 4:24 pm

have been to archies wok, Bruces, cafe artiste and le kliffe

best in my opinion in order

1 archies (because of live music and total package)
2 Bruces (not to miss this burly mans steaks and stuffed crab)
3 cafe artiste ( way too pompous for what you get but nice decor and abiance)
4 le kliffe dont even waste your time
we took a taxi from nuevo vallata, only to find out they didn't offer their special menu after 5 pm i guess with a part of 12 people, they weren't too happy when we hightailed it out of there and hit Bruce's for a second time.

Didn't order off of his special menu (which was one of the best in my opinion), but did have two wonderful meals at Bruce's last week.

We went in on Tuesday for his Maine lobster tails, which were to die for, not to mention Bruce treated us like royalty as it was our 20th anniversary.

On Friday, five of us dined there, all ordered different dishes, I saw nothing but satisfied faces.

In view of recent revelations on the Tours forum, it would appear that once again, Bruce came on this board promoting his own restaurant under the guise of another persona named "femme". But for "femme" to then refer to what is in effect himself as burly is just unsettling. And he wonders why some people continue to have problems with him.

Perhaps he misspelled and meant barely. Not a real reach.

I don't know whether it's Bruce or not, but I made my earlier post in this thread thinking it was a different person. (for the record)

I didn't catch it when I posted, but now that I look at femme's posts, they certainly have a Bruce kind of spin to them.

Bruce, if it is you, please stick to cooking, and away from the internet.
