Couldn't be a better match up!! Can't wait for Sunday!! I've been bantering back and forth with my Saskatchewan friends all week! I have a couple of bets going already (nothing serious, just a couple of drinks).

Should be a fun game!

Jeepers, I go out for the evening and Fred wants to get a riot started with comments like that. o-((
We're having a tailgate on the driveway prior to the game and then everyone piles in for the game. Our brother-in-law is Saskatchewan born and bred so there will be a bit of friendly (I hope) rivalry going on!

The party is from 2-4. Hot dogs, chili and beer.
Everyone is welcome. Even the green people.

Well it could not have been two better teams for the final game.... I'm sure the rest of the country is going to sleep late on Sunday, since they probably don't care... but the best part is that I could and would be cheering for either team if one or the other had made the final.. B.C. and their lotus fantasies/warm weather need to be put in their place, and well back East just don't count.

It's to bad your Quarterback broke his arm... Good thing it happened or that loudmouth Manitoba Bomber booster (Asper of the get an autograph from the Dalai Lama team) would have been bragging that Winnipeg could beat Saskatchewan with one arm tied behind their back. Doubt if he'll open his mouth now! Right about now Winnipeg should be thinking rematch for 2008.

AND by the way.... there's two kinds of people out here in the West... those that like trucks, banjo's, whiskey, slow dancing with beautiful women, and and those that have a tin ear, and have to go to Bombers games.

oohh - Ronald! 'them's fightin' words!! I might have a tin ear but it's Blue 'n Gold all the way!!

Wish we could be there for chili and beer Fred and Joyce - but we'll have a few up here in the frozen north!!

GO BOMBERS!!!

Saskatchewan Rough Riders WIN

Post by ronald » Mon Nov 26, 2007 3:11 am

Saskatchewan 23 Winnipeg 19

What a game: A lot closer than we thought it would be. That young guy (Dinwiddie) that Winnipeg has as their backup QB played a hell of a game... He's going to be a great one someday.

I think Les Macpherson of the Star Phoenix said it best about the total support that Saskatchewan gives our team.. "Saskatchewan has never won the Grey Cup with the New Democrats in power. So we changed the government. How many other fans would do this for their team?"

To all Bombers fans: Think REMATCH IN 2008 !

BTW: There was a second game on at the same time.. Denver vs Chicago.. That was a hell of a game too.. OT win for Chicago.

Very sad the Bombers lost but I'm also happy for Saskatchewan. We couldn't have lost to a better team! Next year!!!

I guess I have to agree - if the Bombers couldn't win then I'm glad it was Saskatchewan!

It was a great game - and it's good to keep the Cup in the Prairies!

Let's hope for a re-match!!

It was a very close defensive game. I wish the Bombers would have come home with the cup too, but I agree, Saskatchewan is a good second choice.
Fred had to eat his words, I see he is now suspiciously absent from the conversation he instigated! He is such a trouble maker you all have no idea!!! Image

I've had to eat a little "crow" today as well. Not as bad as I thought though. My Saskatchewan friends must be taking pity on me!

Hey Fred:

Think rematch next November in Montreal.. It's a better city to party in.

"What do you call 46 guys sitting on a bench watching the Grey Cup game?

The B.C. Lions

I sure do like the fact that you're such a good sport on this Fred.. As a sign of good faith on our part, if you PM me your address, I'll be happy to get you a ten year subscription to the James Johnson fan club. Pretty great football player he is.... he had as many interceptions as your Milt Stegal had catches.

Of course all of us in the Banjo Province will not be letting Grey Cup celebrations interfere with our jobs. A Grey Cup hangover is no excuse for missing work, after next week.
