GO FLAME uh "S" uh ENATORS GO

Post by ronald » Wed Apr 09, 2008 6:05 am

I'm cheering for both the Calgary Flames AND the Ottawa Senators..... can't wait until they win enough playoff series each until they finally play each other. Hopefully that'' mean a game EVERY night of the week... The wife will be extremely pleased. If only each team had an official beer??????

for the rest of the teams that were lucky enough to get this far.... look forward to the statement 'tee off is at 10'

Go Flames go

Post by helenf » Wed Apr 09, 2008 5:10 pm

Hey Ronald and Sylvia,

I would love to see Calgary and Ottawa in the final.

Those of us Flames fans here on vacation in Huatulco right now thought we had our evening all planned out. A bar here in Huatulco called the Tipsy Blowfish (great place) had fully intended to play the game for us Flames fans tonight, but unfortunately, they are unable to get a hockey feed. Dagnabit. I guess we'll all just have to crowd around the internet room and try and get updates. LOL

The good news is we won three of four games against the Sharks this year, so hopefully that trend will continue. Hopefully we'll see you in the finals Ronald. :D

Cheers everyone,

Helen

The Hockey News

Post by smitty » Fri Apr 11, 2008 8:06 pm

Habs vs Flames would be my dream pick . Even though I grew up in the Ottawa Valley I can't cheer for the Sens - I want to see the Penguins sweep them . :) I have my Sidney Crosby jersey all ready for our high school reunion ( held in the heart of the Ottawa Valley ) - last reunion I wore my Leaf t shirt and just got pity and scorn . :) Hopefully this reunion is payback time ! :)

Did you see the game last night? 7 seconds left in the game and then THAT goal. Come on Calgary... If I can't have the Senators, then a Calgary-Montreal showdown is second best. Looks like the PRICE is right!

Keeping the Faith

Post by helenf » Fri Apr 18, 2008 10:04 pm

Well, I'm still keeping the faith that Calgary will win the next two games (the series). It was nice to see the Flames keep pushing right until the final buzzer last night. I'm super disappointed that we lost, but I still believe we can pull it off.

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!!

Awesome!!!!!

Fantastic game last night. I was at the game and it was absolutely electric. I get goose bumps being a part of that sea of red. It is absolutely phenomenal to see so many red flames jerseys. The Flames franchise must make a killing on jersey sales. Although I already have a 2 jerseys (my original #10 Roberts jersey from the 80's and the old red jersey), I broke down and bought one of the new jersey's with Iginla on the back. I know they will be retiring his number someday!!!!!

The sharks are in for a world of hurt on Tuesday night!!!!!!!!

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!

"It was to be Jeremy Roenick's night."

Sylvia, my dear, that is just putting salt in the old wound. LOL  If it had been Joe Thornton or Patrick Marleau with a four point night putting the nail in the Flames coffin, it would be a much easier pill to swallow. :)

If there was ever a player in today's NHL that I dislike it has always been and always will be Jeremy Roenick.

I hope Montreal goes a long way.

Calgary just got out played for most of the game. They usually play drunk you know, but just couldn't get that buzz before the game off of that American beer, and so of course their manufactured aggressiveness didn't materialize.

Besides Calgary losing, the bad news is that we only have about a month and a half of hockey left.... I have no problem propping myself down in front of the TV each and every night from now on to watch some playoff game, but what's a guy to do after the final Stanley Cup game?

Renew acquaintances with the wife I guess!
