I'm a Canadian ...EH

http://www.jeanettearsenault.com/lyrics/mycanada.htm
Rocks and plains and visions of trains from sea to sea
Lakes and streams and passionate dreams of a true north strong and free
Mountains of snow, the forest below, hopes and fears
Frozen lands and the rugged hands of Canadian pioneers

CHORUS
This is my Canada, this is my home, my nation
From St. John's to Victoria, this is my, this is my Canada
This is my Canada, Canada
O Canada

http://www.jeanettearsenault.com/lyrics/canadianeh.htm :)

I’m a Canadian, Eh Image
That’s all you have to do is say “eh”
It’s the Canadian Way to say “eh”
To be Canadian is to say “eh”
It’s so Canadian to say “eh”

I went searching for my Canadian identity
To find out what makes me …. me
Is it that I treat people so nicely
Or that I can communicate bilingually
Mais oui, comment ça va, eh?
What is it that makes us different from the rest?
What is that we do when we’re at our best?
Where do we fit in the global situation?
And what do people say when they talk about our nation?
Well we have 10 provinces and 3 territories
And we have our share of legends and glories
But what really makes us stand out in a crowd
Is when we say out loud

CHORUS

Eh is only a 2 letter word
But it can cut whole sentences down by a third
For instance: isn’t that right? Don’t you agree? You don’t say!
Can all be replaced just by saying “eh”
Not only is it easy and so simple to do
But it turns out to be quite handy too
You see we have a great reputation
Whenever we travel when we’re on vacation
You can bask in this Canadian praise
If you learn to use this world-famous phrase
In the event you might have missed it before
Here it is once more

Happy Canada Day
I am proud to be a Canadian!!! EH!!!

Real nice and totally approriate. Never heard or seen this one before. Have a great Canada Day everybody.

How could things get any better....gst cut today...our beer has strength and taste....medicare is free if we need it after drinking to much beer...Our mounties are marrying each other...our soldiers are getting new transportation equipment...in a couple of years we'll buy them guns...we're getting a surplus in our Provincial and Federal treasury because of those small royalties on oil...and we still don't need a passport to get into the U.S. or Mexico....(look at a map, we are bigger than either of them..and..we're on top) and finally the CEO of the Canada Pension Plan just announced there's enough in there to last at least 75 more years; covers me anyway....

The year 2006 marks the 139th celebration of Canada Day, which commemorates the day that Canada became a nation.

Happy Canada Day, my Canadian friends.

Canada Day Up Canada Way By Stompin Tom Conners
===============================================
Transcribed by Ed Lim ([email protected]/[email protected])

It's Canada Day up Canada Way on the first day of July.

And we're shouting hooray up Canada Way when the maple leaf flies high.

Where the silver jets from East to West are streaming through our skies.

We'll be shouting hooray up Canada Way when the great parade goes by.

Chorus:

Oh Canada, standing tall together,

We'll raise our hands and hail our flag

The maple leaf forever.

It's Canada Day up Canada Way on the coast of Labrador.
And we're shouting hooray up Canada Way on the white Pacific shore.
People everywhere have a song to share on Canada's holiday.
From P. E. Island to the sunny south to the North Pole far away.
Chorus...

It's Canada Day up Canada Way on the long cold winters done.
And we're shouting hooray up Canada Way for the great days yet to come.
Where maple trees grow maple leaves when the Northern sun is high.
We're Canadians and we're born again on the first day of July.
Chorus...

It's Canada Day up Canada Way from the lakes to the prairies wide.
And we're shouting hooray up Canada Way on the St. Lawrence river side.
People everywhere have a song to share on Canada's holiday.
From P. E. Island to the sunny south to the North Pole far away.
Chorus...

Hooray for Stompin Tom, I love his music! I get all teary when I hear him singing this song.
I love this country and am always proud and honoured to wear my strawberry shortcake colours! Happy Candada Day fellow/gal Canadians.

Joyce
