Vallarta may receive 6.5 million flying visitors.

By the end of 2022, the Puerto Vallarta International Airport could see 6.5 million passengers, which would be a record figure, according to Raul Revuelta Musalem, General Director of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico.

Additionally, he emphasized that some flights will be returning throughout the winter months, meaning that November will see the biggest number of passengers.

Regarding the Copa Airlines flight from Panama to Puerto Vallarta, he clarified that the airline experienced network issues as a result of the pandemic and had to restructure itself. The company slowly got back to work by bringing back flights like the one to Guadalajara. It has already done this with the flight to Mexico City.

Despite the fact that they were aware of the positive numbers and that Puerto Vallarta was performing well, he stated that Finland would not be coming this winter but would instead return next year.

He emphasized that several airlines had to restructure as a result of the epidemic, and that Puerto Vallarta wouldn’t fully recover with its routes until the winter of the following year.
