Ummm...not sure you'd want to do that. We no longer have functional pier at Los Muertos and doubt the new pier will be done by the time you tie the knot. Now that price I think was from Boca, and I only enquired from there since we are out of a pier in Los Muertos. I think your best bet would be to ...

Ok, I was out on Boca de Tomatlan and asked about your needs. The panga dude said for 50 ppl you would better rent 3 of them for about $100US/each. They will transport your guests and wait until 3 am if necesasry to bring them back to town. Don't think it's a bad deal. Let me know if you need furthe...

Read some of the 'timeshare shark' stories and if you think you can handle it, go for it! Have a great trip regarless of where you ...

I just love intercultural marriages, specially when the families get together. :P I wish you the best luck in your marriage and hope you have a great wedding. Don't forget to tell your foks the pinning large dollar bills on the bride tradition. Let us know if there are any unusual wedding traditions...

Smart gal. It is always good to bail money handy. Frecuent Vallarta travellers should consider opening a bank account here, don't have to deposit a bundle but have just enough to avoid monthly charges and all. I had opened mine when the peso vs dollar was at 15 pesos per dollar. I should've deposite...

Most banks I've used had charged me 29 pesos per transaction. I usually pull 10,000 pesos per. I also check the current exchange rate on google finance since the dollar has been up and down lately. Still, you get the real current rate without paying comissions. If you bank with BoA or WF, you could ...

Ok, I think I can answer a couple even when I'm fairly new here too. I'm not a club guy...but have been to a few across the street from the malecon. That's mostly a young crowd. Can't name specific names, but I guess the long lines of hot chics waiting to get in will clue you in. To buy booze, you c...

Mike, the law has changed. Now cars up to 2003 can qualify. A 92 might not cut it though. I believe is way too old. Pick ups can qualify older than 95 since they are used for work on the fields. But while at the border I asked around and I was told it was from 95 to 2001 starting novermber 1st of la...

Furniture advise
I've been shopping around for furniture and this is becoming a little frustrating. When I finally found a livingroom set I liked I was told that that might not be a wise choice due the fact that humidity will cause it to deteriiorate fast. They said that I should go with tropical woods like rattan w...

Hmmm...not quite Kat, I didn't do anything illegal. Everything was done perfectly legally and withing the guidelines of the law. The only money he got up front was the $100. The rest I paid after I got the 'pedimento' from the officials. This is the doccument that states the car is now 'national'. O...

The way it worked, he gave me a flat rate and asked for a $100 deposit up front. I was reluctant to doing that since he asked me to deposit the $100 in a Wells Fargo account, but I was running out of time. Then he asked me to meet him close to the border the day I was to cross it. I was there a litt...

This post is a little old. Do you still need help with this? It depends on a few things, but assuming you meet the residence requirements I could get you in touch with the guy who legalized mine. He was a man of very few words, but got it done super fast. I got to the border and 3 hs later I was on ...

New to the forum. Í have lurked this forum a few times b4 moving here. You all seem like a nice crowd. Finally I made the move I planned for many years. Hi everyone! New to the forum too. I just moved to PV a couple of weeks ago and wish I could offer some insight as to what the answer would be, but have Mexican citizenship and never been in a situation like that. But I believe the OP had a legit question and got mostly not very useful answers since...
