I am a member at Paradise Village...the condos are nice as well as the whole resort, and you should be pleased...it is a ways out of town so you'll have to plan your trips into Vallarta accordingly...but there are a few places out there for dinner that will save some cab fare...try Bernardo's and Il...

their website says they are closed from September 1st to September 30th...that must happen every year...so if you leave for home on the 1st that is why you always find them closed...

Re:Shrimp recipe needed
This is one I posted last year...I don't know what seasonings they might have put on the shrimp you had...most I have tasted haven't really had mush in the way of extra spices added...but maybe this can be a starting point... Grilled Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Shrimp 1 lb. jumbo shrimp (26 to 30 per lb),...

Re:flan de cajeta
I couldn't find a recipe for flan de cajeta, but I did find one for cajeta creme brulee, which might be good...kind of an upside down flan that's a little creamier...I don't know if you could go ahead and coat a glass dish (I'd use a glass pie pan) with the hard carmel you'd use to make a flan and t...

Re:Paradise Village
We have been members at Paradise Village for 5 years now, have been going to resort for 7 years. We love it. There have been some mixed reviews given on this board regarding some staff members being rude, but I have never encountered that, either before or after becoming a member. Sometimes I think ...

Re:Paradise Village Marina Residence
I'm a member at Paradise Village as well...I suggested my boss and his whole family (11 adults and 3 kids) go to Paradise Village the week before Christmas. They ended up staying in the Marina Residence. They loved it. You have to walk about 3 long blocks to get to the main hotel and beach, if you d...

We stay at Paradise Village also...and we love it, but..we have been many times and we always rent a car so we can get into town, or Bucerias, etc. whenever we want. There is also a water taxi now, that is less expensive than a cab ride that goes to Marina and Malecon area. Beaches are better in Nue...

jjbcroft (Feb 27, 2005 12:12 a.m.): We just got back from Puerto Vallarta Wed. night (I'm SOOOO depressed!) and picked up some Don Fernando Anejo. Is this a good sipping tequila or do I use it for Marguaritas? Didn't get to go on the tequilla tour this year - maybe next year! I had about 5 minutes ...

Water Taxi
We were at Paradise Village in Nuevo in January and noticed that there was a new water taxi available from Nuevo to the Marina and downtown...it is less expensive than a cab and a little more enjoyable, albeit maybe a tad slower, but a welcomed change. Departures from Nuevo Marina right outside Para...
