Chicken & Eggs - Cabron is Right!!
Cabron is absolutely right!! The problem with those of us that live in the U.S. is that we have been conditioned over the years to eat inferior food and expect that this is what food should taste like. As a farm kid, where we raised our own chickens and eggs, the chickens had "yellow skin" and had m...

Brisas de Val, Suit del Sol, Los Tules, Los Arcos?
We will be staying at several places in P.V. and was wondering if anyone has any feed back on the following places (good or bad): 1) Suites del Sol, 2) Los Arcos Vallarta, 3) Los Tules and 4) Brisas de Vallarta. Are any better than another? Problems? Praise? What have you!!

Westin, Bahia del Sol, Lindo Mar, Villa del Mar?
I am trying to figure out which of the following facilities would be best for a few weeks stay. I've been to P.V. a couple of times, but hasn't stayed at any of these facilities: 1) Club Regina at Westin; 2) Bahia del Sol Beach Resort; 3) Lindo Mar; or 4) Universal Vacation Club at Villa del Mar. An...

Re:Info on Yelapa
Hi SunGal, You have to go to Yelapa!! Its a great trip and you can save yourself quite a bit of money by taking the water taxi rather than the tour. Just be sure you don't miss the last boat back to P.V. The last one leaves at around 4 or 5:00 p.m. There are lots of places to eat, even huts to stay ...

Re:Do you exchange money in Can or PV??
What we usually do is exchange a little money, maybe $50 at our local bank into pesos before going to P.V. That way we have some local currency when we first get in for cab fare, quick eats, etc. Then we exchange the rest of our money in Mexico. You should watch the exchange rates carefully in P.V. ...

Re:Our action-packed trip in March
Hi Sueknu, Sounds like you had a really great trip. Your first to P.V.? I do have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind. I was happy to hear that Tony's in Mismaloya was still open and doing fine. Tony's is our very favorite restaurant in P.V. I was wondering if Tony's prices have went up...

Re:El Tuito & Pitillal Info Request
Katnsocal, I thought I did say what I wanted. What I am looking for is info on the TOWNS of El Tuito and Pitillal. I can't understand how it was assumed that I was going to wander around 'the jungle'. I realize that when you leave the coastal terrain you are almost immediately in a different environ...

Re:El Tuito & Pitillal Info Request
No tigers in Mexico! Tigers are only in Asia. Wild pigs are of little threat except with sows with piglets. Deer are no problem either. I've actually hunted all over the world, I live in a very rural area with lots of wildlife all around me and my family and I'm not worried about going into the jung...

El Tuito & Pitillal Info Request
Is there anyone out there that can help me with information about El Tuito and Pitillal? We would like to get out of P.V. and see some of the other more traditional Mexico. I understand you can take a bus to these places, but can anyone tell me where to catch the bus and are these places worth the t...

Re:Water
I wouldn't worry too much about the water in P.V. The water is purified in the hotels, restaurants, etc. I don't know that I would drink the water from the taco stands and along the street, but the water in the better restaurants and hotels will be fine. You will notice that the water has a pretty b...

Re:on vacation with my 63 yo mother
I've told others this, but I would certainly take your mother and friend to Yelapa. There is a tour boat that costs about $30 or 35 dollars U.S., but you can also go by water taxi for less money. I believe the last boat leaves Yelapa at about 4:30 p.m., so you want to make sure you catch it back to ...

Recommendation: Print out all of the responses that were posted and give them to your hair dresser. Then change your hair dresser.

Best Western
Does anyone have any info on the Best Western Motel in P.V.? I'm booked for only one night, then heading off to the resort. If it is a dive, however, I will cancel my reservations and make it for some other place.

Re:Worried about my PV Vacation. Please Help!
Your hair dresser has a real problem. Whether any vacation trip is successful or not depends largely on your frame of mind and your attitude. It is apparent that your hair dresser went to P.V. without an positive expectations. P.V. is a great place, but you need to remember that Mexico in general is...
