While I have never stayed there myself I dont know one person I ever met in PV who stayed at the HI and had a good experience. I can assure you there are way more things to do in PV than any cruise. You just have to go out and explore. I find it sad that you let that place alone color your PV experi...

I like Lindo Mar also so I second that one. Very nice little beach and restaraunt on site. I have stayed there twice. Playa del Sol Costa Sur is also nice. I own there. Ocho Cascadas is nice too although I think the asking price is a little steep right now. I prefer the South side of the Malecon. Th...

Sayulita - Still pure and unspoiled for now. Yelapa - This one is only accesible by boat. (Drive to Mismaloya and have a water taxi take you there. Ask anyone around for Roberto and tell him Zack from Costa Vida sent you. If you go there you will get swarmed by many guys trying to take you out on th...

I would drive to Mismaloya and then have a panga (small boat) take you to Los Arcos (The Rocks). These are the giant rock islands that can be seen from just about anywhere in Vallarta. The beach has several small restaraunts where you can eat and drink. Los Arcos is a protected area and has some of ...

Its a great experience. We did the encounter which was around $100 per person I think. The swim is about $200. The encounter you stand on a platform with roughly 12 people and get to touch and interact with a dolphin. Ours was a new mom and had a little baby with her. :D The swim you get a good amou...

Last couple times I went to Chicos the food and service were bad. Ive been there at least 10 times and I am pretty easy to please. I take into account where the place is an all but I was just disappointed the last couple times. El Eden I go to every year. I love it there and have never had bad food ...

I own there currently as do my parents. We have two units in the tower which are efficiencies and my parents have the penthouse on the shorter side and I have a one bedroom there. We have been owners for 20 years. We love the place. We were very scared during the transition from Costa Vida to the ne...

To answer one of the posters questions the prices are very reasonable for what we got. The steak plates were $20-$25, the pasta plates were about $15 and the lobster was $38. As you can see though the lobster dinner was two medium sized tails. The texture on lobster was awesome. No mushy lobsters at...

Bruce's Back Alley BIstro
Just wanted to give a props to Bruce's Back Alley Bistro. This place was our absolute favorite this year among other greats such as Barcelona Tapas, Pipis, Andales, and several others. It was so good we had to go back a second time on our last night there. Bruce is an excellent host and happily cate...

There is a pretty neat waterfall at El Eden. Its on the south side of the bay. You can take a taxi there but I would consider renting a Jeep or car for the day. Its above Mismaloya beach. What I usually do is go out to Mismaloya beach early and then make the drive up around 1 or 2. The trip up there...
