Re:DREAMS WARNING
R&D (Oct 01, 2004 11:48 a.m.): I would not personally advise anyone to book with them until at least the middle of high season. If this project is running behind schedule, I would expect more of the same regarding any other construction, including their spa, which is now closed until "Winter 2004",...

It always looks gorgeous. I was just lamenting this morning, it's quickly getting colder here in Iowa, soon we'll have snow. This web cam will save me this winter I think.

I have a question for you PV residents (or frequent enough travelers that you know things...LOL) On the shot of the Malecon from the webcam, there is a store door just to the left of the big palm tree. It's a big square door and has a big dark sign above it. I think that is the little grocery/souven...

Yes, I have been hit with the PV addiction too. I am SO glad that we chose to go there on our vacation. We had really struggled with where to go, it was SUCH a hard decision and everyone we know had a different opinion. I keep asking my husband when we can go again...I think he says the credit card ...

I just had to comment how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the webcam. I look at it every morning and just close my eyes and sip my coffee and remember sitting on the beach and it all comes back to me. Thank you so much for doing this for us. Also, I think there should be a soundbite of Sittin on the Dock of t...

OH man, that really stinks!! I knew they were planning on shutting down one of the towers at a time...think of the people who are booked for the regular rooms who will get club rooms when they are done with them!? I can only report for the conditions while we were there, which was a month ago now, but take into consideration the second post, conditions will vary. The Maria Bonita was air conditioned, can't remember the name of the Italian one, but I think it is too (it has windows and doors!LOL we didn't eat there tho.) But the one by the pool is not, it's open air. Perfect for morning breakfast or a late dinner when it's a bit cooler. It's been almost a mon...

What a GREAT article! And so true. We did get one big storm while we were in PV last month, and it was so nice to just sit in the lounge at the hotel and chat and watch the olympics...oh, and drink margaritas!! And the lightening over the bay is breathtaking!!
Very cool.

Gil,
These photos from the hurrican are incredible!! I have to ask tho, why on earth didn't you evacuate!? LOL I'm sure it was something to see. All that damage is just heartbreaking to look at, but it gives me a lot of respect for how beautifully they rebuilt. Thank you for sharing these.

OHH You are going to have an AWESOME time!! Last month was my first time to PV too, I can't wait to go back. Even when it rains it's beautiful. Those big dark clouds coming over the mountains are very impressive. Just be glad you didn't book a Florida vacation!!!
Have FUN!
Adios!!
