I'm sure you found out if Dreams is "all-inclusive" or not.
Is it? If so, what is included?

It can be humid and rainy in June, esp in the latter half of the month. When it rains, it is usually in the evening or night. At least part of each day is usually sunny. Some days can be so hot that you hardly want to do anything!! Good time to sit under a palapa and have a frosty margarita! I like ...

I think they have mariachis every night at Pipi's Restaurant, which is loud, fun, Mexican food and seafood. It is fun to get the guacamole which is made table-side there. Moderately priced. I am sure there are other regular mariachi performances around town--- anyone?? I'll research again since we a...

I have not been on either, but you will find other posts in which most people rave about the Rhythms of the Night excursion. Some say the pirate ship dinner is pretty tacky and disappointing. I would rather spend an entire evening at a nice restaurant with a view, i.e. Vista Grill (high on the hill)...

Casa Anita and Corona Del Mar is the full name of a hotel. I use vrbo.com all the time and have had great experiences renting homes and condos. You are dealing with the actual owner of the house or condo that you are renting. I particularly like the Selva Romantica condo complex, and you can do a se...

I was also going to suggest Dreams, but I noticed that you did not want all inclusive. I was looking at the Dreams website, and it is not clear that it is all inclusive. In fact, perhaps they changed their program so that it is not all inclusive?? I don't know. Dreams is lovely. They also have a spe...

There are some very nice hotels in the marina, and some people love staying there. I have never stayed there, but I have stayed in Nuevo Vallarta, which has a really nice beach. It is north of the airport. For me, I really like staying in town, where I can walk everywhere without ever taking a bus o...

And therein lies the crux of the matter..........since Playa Los Muertos was developed so many years ago, it is impossible to find modern, new luxury hotels there....... Playa Los Arcos is probably the best hotel, but I would not necessarily want to stay there. I don't know of a hotel similar to Vil...

would also consider Sayulita and San Pancho (San Francisco) for the day. You can take the bus (adventurous plus inexpensive) or rent a car or rent a car/driver to take you. These are north of town. Romance??? ---- I recommend La Palapa for a dinner (expensive), Barcelona Tapas (moderate), and Cafe C...

The fun part about late June is that there are usually at least a few hours of sun each day --- get out there while you can........and some evenings are perfect as well. Sunsets can be gorgeous, with pink dappled clouds and streaks of orange. But........if it is going to rain in the evening or all n...

You deserve a relaxing vacation!! June can be quite rainy, especially in the evenings, just as you are leaving your hotel for dinner!! I always bring sandals that can get wet, and sometimes I carry nicer shoes in a bag, and switch to the nice shoes on arrival to the restaurant. The streets sometimes...

Hey Chance, Perhaps you want a hotel rather than a house with a private pool, view, and maids, but just thought I would recommend Casa Guacamole, a 4 bedroom home in the center of PV, up on the hill above the cathedral. You can check it out on www.casaguacamole.com Looks like Memorial Day weekend is...

Might want to check out the Villa Premiere also, which is near the Buenaventura, and these two are definitely an easier walk to the Malecon than the Sheraton. You can find more opinions about Villa Premiere and Buenaventura on this forum--- generally good reviews. And you can look on tripadvisor.com...

At Marisma, I stick with the fish tacos and shrimp tacos, which are fabulous and 13 pesos each. The ceviche tostadas are tasty too and only 8 pesos. One day I had two fish tacos and was full. One day I had a fish taco, a shrimp taco, and a ceviche tostada, and I left there feeling quite happy!! $3 f...

Oneistwo has some good advice. If you want to pick up a few essentials on your way to the condo, you know.... tequila, limes, tortilla chips, and guacamole ingredients....coffee and milk for the morning......you can ask the driver to stop. There is a Soriana store on the west side of the highway, wh...

No Way Jose
Just returned from PV where we ate at No Way Jose, a new restaurant that has already been recommended on this website. Just wanted to confirm that it is great!! Interesting drinks--- we tried the pomegranate margarita--- tasty! We had the Caesar salad which is made tableside. Very yummy and fun! War...
