Start with the bird
I'll go out on a limb here, since I don't know the direct answer to your question. I would think the place to start is info on what are the risks to the bird in traveling? My recollection is they're far more delicate than mammals. Also, some species of conures are native to Mexico. You said "to stay...

6.5
Yup, they're 6.5 pesos now. That gives you something to do with those 50 peseta coins. The fun comes when you are an odd number of people getting on. Real fast, what's 6.5 x 3? x 5?

More info
If you mean stopping on the way from the airport with three people, just go where you're going, then send someone with a list. When it comes to cabs going to or from grocery stores, we see locals take a bus to the stores, a cab back. Buses are now 6.5 pesos in the city proper, cabs 80 pesos, plus ti...

Gold's still open
Since my last post, I went for two workouts at Gold's during the two weeks I was in PV. Whether it's for sale or not, it's functioning just fine. A single workout is 120 pesos, 10 dollars US. I didn't take advantage of the one-week deal this time because my "program" was to walk as much as possible....

As the senior member of the trio dining at Tino´s, I have to admit I have to work on my reflexes, my anti-timeshare defenses. Yes we should have spoken to the manager but as in other incidents I was too shocked to act. We kept saying no, no, no, we´re not interested we´re not buying anything no no n...

A great dinner spoiled
Kat: Glad you enjoyed the new Tino´s. We were there last night and the food and service were excellent. But that Ah this is great feeling went out the window when the nice young lady who came over and chatted with us and who we thought was management turned out to be a pusher for Grand Mayan timesha...

Tropical Adventures Botanical Garden tour
NOT recommended. The full day journey includes only about an hour and half at the gardens. Take the El Tuito bus for one twentieth of the cost, and pay the $5 admission on your own. That´s what we´ve done in the past but we felt that since they pick us up at the hotel and it´s an all day trip we sig...

Tojo: Who said anything about a death sentence? It's just a matter of which side of a preference someone comes down on. I have met people who've been to PV and I ask did you go here or go there, and they answer, with just w little bit of regret, they were AI. It doesn't mean they didn't enjoy it, or...

Must do?
The year-rounders can bear me out or correct me, but I'm pretty sure the whales are gone by June. They come to the Bahia to breed, and then they head north to eat. Everyone will have different must-do list, but here's a few, all but two within walking distance (do a search on the forum if you need m...

Augie: We understand what you're saying because it's very close to what we were saying to each other for the 48 hours after the incident. We spewed those expletives and said all kinds of horrible things about the Mexican people, and that we'd never come back to PV again, etc. To each other. When the...

Gold
And recommendations for someplace to buy gold wedding rings? (Other than Bustamente$$$$). We've done plenty of shopping for silver but in 10 years we never even thought about looking for gold in PV. We're heading down on the 13th.

Here's the link to the Favorite Mexican Cerveza poll from a few years ago I mentioned. Fun and informative.

Patience Tojo. If someone's AI and drinking Miller Lite, we must be gentle. I agree absolutely with what you say, but many go through a lite beer phase (I confess). Then maybe a Corona phase (Not guilty). Then there's the good stuff, like Pacifico, Sol, Modelo, Bohemia ... I'm blessed our local by-t...

Just realized we were answering a post that's almost two years old.
No harm done. In fact I got to daydream, which is what I'll be doing for the next three weeks.

Mexican cuisine? Across the street and about a block and a half north, away from El Centro, is Las (or is it Los) Alcatraces, which is our favorite breakfast stop. We're usually the only non-Mexicans there, but the menu is bilingual. Dinner? It's close enough you can walk over and check out the dinn...

I was curious myself. Wal-Mart advertises several outfits for less than $50. But the site I looked at doesn't have a "find-in-store" for PV. Also, Master Baiters has a tackle shop. Maybe you could contact them before you go down. http://www.masterbaitersfishing.com/tacklestore. Or this could be a gr...

Do some homework first
At the top of this page you'll see links. I'd suggest starting with Map, then Fast Facts, and What to Do. If you Google Puerto Vallarta you'll find even more. Then do some searches on this forum. Cab fare, e.g., is a frequent topic. Also, go to weather.com and plug in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexic...
