Didn't need to hit the beach Kat, if I recall the beach came up by the pool and hit us. But of course the ever diligent and incredible staff at the Velas brought us all cool wet towels to sponge off the sand before we got smart and realized we could still get bar service in the suite. LMAO Man...

Massage
Hot Stone therapy massage may cost more - the 400 peso massage is the standard relaxation ones, not a specialty massage like hot stone, so you should ask Angie for pricing.
The relaxation massages are treat enough IMO.

I wouldn't say Rhythms is a bit worn out, but it is definitely designed for mass tourism. The setting is romantic (remote beach, torchlit dinner and show), but the volume of other people enjoying that romance with you in close proximity IMHO would make it less so. For "spa" treatments - check out th...

Ticket
Check your airline ticket list of fees and taxes - it should be noted there.
I believe all airlines now include the departure taxes as part of the fare - I haven't had to pay it as an extra since 2000.

Scott's Tours is a third party tour seller (like this site is) - they own/run no tours of their own.

What I generally find in "complaint" posts like this, is someone who has taken advantage of an extraordinarily cheap or discounted last minute package sale, and expects much more than they paid for. You pay for a seat sale package deal? That's what you get. There is no prime rib, lobster tails, Cris...

You sure you want to know? If you are, I'll tell you...it's a pretty common phrase where I work (I work with a lot of retired cops and RCMP)What does "pound sand" mean anyway??

It's a way in polite mixed company of telling someone to f-off.

Admitting no knowledge on the pollution and pesticide levels in your own backyard then? Feigning ignorance on the myriad of environmental polluters that dump everything from raw sewage to copper into Puget Sound each year and have never been brought to task? Tsk, tsk. I don't think I'm the unarmed o...

No dear, just used to your verbal abuse hurling at every PV based board on the 'net. It's not my paranoia showing, it's your alternics. One doesn't need a "black belt" in internet usage to figure your game out.
Not prepared to discuss the Puget Sound pesticide issue?

My tact and intelligence are just fine, thanks. You're just sore because it's your ego that's taken the shot across the bow here. Nice diversionary tactic though...shall we get into the pesticides issue in Puget Sound for a while? How about the pollution of groundwaters by the cars in your ar...

Are you so bored that you need to dream up new ways to start fights? You've so far in the last month accused me of lying, being a racist and a bigot, and now being clueless as to what comes down from the mountains in PV rainstorms. Give your head a shake. Your agenda is becoming clear and as usual, ...

Amanda - look into the Hotel Mercurio. It's mainly advertised as a gay men's hotel but can't imagine the gay aspect would not extend to a lesbian couple. hotel-mercurio.com It isn't a large hotel but it gets very good ratings from people. Not fancy, just clean and a comfortable atmosphere. I would d...

We have all seen the raw sweage running in the streets during a July and August downpour that turns the streets into rivers. This is exactly the type of reckless misinformation that starts old wive's tales and urban myths. It's irresponsible. I've actually BEEN to Vallarta in July and August...what...

Firstly - are you looking at the Suites or the Hotel? They are two separate buildings a block apart. The suites have small kitchenettes and livingrooom spaces, while the hotel are hotel rooms (which have coffeemakers, small fridge, tv etc) Small locally owned hotels - the hotel only has 28 rooms and...

Soda
That's probably because you're so used to sodas made with high fructose corn syrup, whereas in Mexico they still use real cane sugar in their soda. The bad part is that the soda pop at the fast food joins taste terrible.

I keep forgetting Las Margaritas on B. Badillo. If Memo's or Fredy's are lined up, go to Las Margaritas. Really good breakfast and really decent prices. People should be able to state their opinion without being flamed or ranted on. True enough, but it doesn't seem to stop those who claim they've been flamed from flaming Tom and Lorrie here either, basically out and out calling them snobs and deriding their nicknames from the staff - so what makes ...

It's funny and sad no one advises going to the police. I did call the police. One Way Or Another?
So which is it folks - are you the "I paid a lot of money to stay here" crowd or the "poor little peons" crowd? You don't get it both ways, although clearly you'd like it both? Here's an idea for all inclusive resort dwellers and management - number the chairs, and require guests to sign them...
