Foul language? I read through this thread and found none that I could notice. Please quote. Mogens Oh, excuse me. I now know that foul symbolism does not qualify as foul lanquage. It is just in the mind of the beholder, and should have never been interpreted as foul lanquage; especially in the cont...

Harry, tone it down, I read all through this post and Kat did fine, no need to get all aggressive. There are two issues, I think the main one is time, Buenaventura did a big overhaul around two years ago and I doubt past experiences are valid. Written language is weak and Steve did explain he was n...

To Harry the bar owner in PV, I apolgize for you getting blamed in the kat fight. The comments and character assassination was totally inappropriate by katnsocal. I will seek you out on my next visit, introduce myself, and partake of your establishment. I hope other members of this forum do likewise...

Katnsocal, as usual you are wrong on all counts. You need to aplogize to Harry the bar owner. As I said, your pompous know-it-all attitude and self appointed guru of PV seems, in your mind, to give you the right to put down everone that does not agree with you (especially the newbies). Put your brai...

Katnsocal, you made your point in your first reply, so why continue to attack Steve? He is an experienced traveler to Mexico and if you go back and read all of his posts you will see that he truly loves Mexico and the people. I just don't understand why a few people on this forum have such a pompous...

Re: Burgers
Don't forget Picnic on Olas Altas at Pulpito. Love them with the fries. Also, have not been but heard good things, the burger at Sr Sweeney is supposed to be good. Also check out Jimmy's Burgers downtown. 8) Heard that Picnic might be closing. Anybody know? Much to my surprise the burger at Bubba G...

Re: anyone in PV please update the closure of
nightclus, restaurants, or whatever as I have an upcoming trip in the next 5 days. Thanks! We went for a walk last night. Rumors are just that. All the restaurants were open on the Malecon and in Old Town. Story is that night clubs are to be closed at 12:00 midnight. A few "bar only" places were cl...

That means he had to pay $21,379.73 USD when he paid his bill.  Wow, that is a big time commitment for just one item on the accounts payable ledger. Even bigger is the 1st class interactive kitchen(s) and dining facility at teatrolimon. Bruce's Back Alley Bistro was no small underaking e...

The pictures show dated plating techniques and poor execution of skills required ( see the Frenching on the lamb chops) and terrible menu descriptions, Jeez, I never thought I'd be defending Bruce.... but Cripes you're damning all us middle aged yahoos with that remark. Majority of us can' afford t...

Give Bruce at teatrolimon a Break!
Bruce posted his new menu in the restaurant section, and at the top posted the price of $45 for a 5 course dinner. It seems clear enough to me and I don't really understand the flak he got. Just bring a lot of $ or the equivalent pesos and enjoy a fine dinner. Regards, Harry

The secret is to not hurry the process. You have described what happens when one is in a hurry and emulates the bartender moves of a vertical pour. The restrictor is doing its job in preventing the precious stuff exiting all over the place. I have been using the following method for many years (afte...

The owner of La Petite France, Nacho Cadena, became active in his property, Hola Vallarta, and so he had his son come down from Monterrey to repeat his success with La Leche. For French cuisine, La Lorraine, at Amapas and Pilitas can suffice now. Keith, thanks for the info. Noticed that you did not...

What Happened to Restaraunt Le Petite France
Last time in PV (last November) we noticed that the le Petite France (spelling ?) in front of the Fiesta Americana was gutted out and something new was going in. Does anybody down there know the details and what the replacement will be? Always enjoyed going there for a change of pace and fairly good...

Re: Cell Phone
:-|3 I'm a verizon user. Before going to Mexico this last year I switched to the international plan with free long distance. We stay out north of Nueva Vallarta and do not get service there. We did get very clear service right in PV and with the plan I'm on I paid no additional fees for any calls I...

Verizon Cellular Service in PV?
Verizon shows some cell phone sevice in Mexico but doesn't specifically show PV. Anybody know if it works if you have the international subscription? Looks like it would save a lot on phone calls.
