Now I'm remembering the old adage of *don't believe everything you hear*. If you check the above url's, one has the sunset at 5:30, and the other one at 7:30.
Jennybean says her recollection is around 6:30 - 7:00.
I think Jennybean gets my vote of confidence here

Re: Sunset
If you want to make sure you get a good table and get to watch it from start to finish, I'd make the reservation for 6:00 to be sure. Jennybean, I saw you post previously about missing your trip this year, sorry to hear that. Hope you can reschedule sooner than next Oct, that's way too long. Actual...

sunset in october
I need to make a reservation for a beach table at La Palapa for 2 weeks from now, and I'd appreciate it if someone could advise the approx sunset and nightfall times currently. Thanks all, Ross

Where will the two of you be staying? Always interested in meeting fellow canadians along our travels! Us? We're from Calif actually, and have our two teenagers with us this time. Los Palmares condos are a few km south of town on Punta Negra. We've heard nothing but good things about the com...

We're also arriving on Oct 13th, and we last visited mid October 2 yrs ago. Tho quite warm and humid, it rained at night on only a few occasions. We saw rain once at dinner, around 6 or 7pm, the only daylight precip we saw over our weeklong stay. I'd worry more about the heat than the rain, it most ...

I'd be curious too. We're departing SFO in a bit over 3 weeks and already have our tickets, but I couldnt find anything much cheaper than Alaska Air, from their website. The very few I found for less weren't offering much savings, and involved 2 or more flights, and generally lengthy waits at the co...

No, you're not cheap. Airfare (United) from SFO was around $1500 for 4 in early spring, but when I went to buy a week or so later it had become $2000. We went with Alaska instead (better flight times), same $$. A month ago I checked for current airfare, and it would have been $3200 for 4. I realized...

Well, I'm basing this pretty much on what I've heard from others. The Vallarta Adventures lines tend to be much shorter, and not nearly as high (probablya good choice for those afraid of heights). It does have interesting looking suspended walkways in the canopy however. The Rio Cuale one I don't kn...

The Outdoor Adventure has only one zip line compared to 15 for Los Veranos, 12 for La Vista, 11 for El Eden, and 10 for Rio Cuale.. J and S, I much appreciate your info. We've only done Los Veranos, loved it, and planned to do either Outdoor Adventure or Veranos this Oct. As much fun as the rest of...

We had dinner with a cousin and her husband, the conversation inevitably turned to PV and she said they had been there and were never so bored in their whole lives! I was almost speechless. Our CFO and his wife, who are fairly experienced travelers (DINKs), went to Vallarta - once - and he said the...

A while back on a different forum I was looking for input on overnight Yelapa accommodations, and received not one but 2 different extremely negative reviews on a property, both from first time posters. They went to such lengths to completely slam this place, the owners and every small detail regard...

Clearly, we all have somewhat different traveling styles. I returned 3 weeks ago from a 6-night camping trip in the eastern Sierra and White Mtns, and to some that would be a nightmarish experience. My wife and I, both 48, enjoyed it more than our 15 yr old daughter and friend did, and let me tell, ...

Yes, I neglected to use that term in"quotes". As the only patch of green in the area, it's a sure indicator of what the local government values, and what it doesn't.
