Re:Spring break in PV?
Spring break is different weeks for Canada and the US. Canada's is the 3rd week of March and the US is the week after... if memory serves me correctly. Our first trip down,we took our kids during the Spring Breaks and it was pretty busy.

Re:Solo female looking for cheap place in PV 10//31-11/6
Jennybean, Thanks for the correction, I was just going by what I was told by friends who go down there every year. The ocean is loud to some people where as I find it comforting. Everybody's tolerance level is different. Hopefully, in just over a year, I'll be able to give a critique on a hotel. We ...

Banana Churros Stand
While down in PV we tried out the Banana Churros from a stand in Old Town/Los Muertos, just on the corner of the park with the gazebo. We actually went back a couple more times. Sure beats the Churros at Costco.

Re:Solo female looking for cheap place in PV 10//31-11/6
I have heard that Posada de Roger is a nice place but that it is very noisy at night what with Senor Frogs and other clubs and bars in the immediate area. I have been told by regulars to PV that Eloisa may be a better choice for less noise. Same area but farther away from the late night party bars.

Re:What's up with Burro's Bar?
We spent lots of time in the Burro's Bar last March/April and there was nothing different, that we noticed, than before the Hurricane. We stayed right beside it at the Vista Del Sol. I agree that it's a great spot and it is usually our first stop when we get in town. The staff is so much fun... espe...

Re:Villas Vista Del Sol
Vista Del Sol is right on Playa Los Muertos. We were there last March/April and the beach was in great shape, they run a sand cleaner (Beach Zamboni) so it was always clean. There is a restaurant in the front of the building that has dibs on the palapas. I seem to recall a minimum restaurant charge ...

Well, now the number has grown to 1800 members. It is great that more and more people are joining this board and even better that there are more members to share PV with.

Re:50 something singles
Yes, Andale is on the Southside, in Old Town. People of all ages come here. There is definately a "Party" atmosphere as the night goes on. Once in PV, there will be no problem to find something to do, no need to worry. There is everything from shopping to fiestas to tours etc. to just sitting on the...

Re:Charging camera battery
The only problem you may encounter is the actual plug itself. The plugs here at home have two different sized prongs. Some of the wiring down in PV may be the early style with two small prongs. At worst you'll just have to use an adapter.

I too understand both sides. I have softened up on my attitude toward the sharks but hardened up on my response to them. I feel sorry for those new comers who are unsuspecting prey and get wrangled in to the trap before they know what hit them. For that reason I believe that the aiport should be off...

Re:planning excursions in advance??
My advice... with only 4 days there, and you are "absolutely" sure you want to take the tours, then it may be a good idea to pre-book them. It may take a day or two to get a reservation, depends on the demand. Personally, I wouldn't waste my valuable time in PV on tours. I enjoy just exploring and w...

Re:Good Wine?????
Last March we bought some popular Mexican wine, both red and white. I stuck with beer and margaritas. I'm not a wine expert but... it didn't go down like our Okanagan wines. Spoiled I guess.

Re:Another question on travel documents.....
What is all the worry about?
You don't need a passport if you are from North America. Just make sure you have the required ID... photo ID (Driver's License) and a government issued birth certificate.
If you have a valid passport, then use it, but there is no need to get all worked up about it.

There are two places we went to last April and had a shrimp dinner for 99 pesos. One is in Old Town, called Mi Cocina on Carranza, and the other is Mauricios , a short bus ride toward Xtapa. Both are excellent meals and great value for their price.

Re:Need your help? First time to PV and we want to have fun!
We took in the Rythms of the Night last March. It is a boat trip across the bay to a tiki torch lit beach. There you enjoy a buffet dinner and take in a show before you get back on the boat to come home. There is an open bar during the whole trip. We enjoyed it more than the Fiesta we took. As for s...

I would say it depends where you are staying. I have only been to La Iguana for their Fiesta but I have heard the one at the Krystal Compares. We stay in Old Town so we walked to La Iguana.

Re:Best place to exchange $$$
We take traveler's cheques. The bank lineups aren't bad at all in the mornings. They start growing as the day goes by. Still say they have the best rates I've seen, but we're used to always watching our CAD dollar exchange rate.
