Double check to see if that plan covers any "Roaming Charges". Air time is only one aspect of the Cellular System.
As long as there are no "Extra" roaming charges that you are not aware of until you get your bill, that's a good deal. I wish I had a plan like that up here in Canada.

Re:Best place to but reallllly good tequila!
Don Julio Reposada is my personal favorite. That is a good price at 310. Two years ago I bought the same bottle for 299 Pesos at the Lays Store at the north end of the Malecon.
Never brought any back this year, we tried a couple of others while we were down but I still think Don Julio is my fave.

Re:Beware of the Fajita Republic
I guess we have two different views on this. To start with, I ate in different restaurants for two weeks in March and never once had a TS rep approach us. I had kids one after another trying to sell us bobbing head turtles, flowers and chicklets while we were trying to eat dinner at Burro's Bar and ...

Re:Beware of the Fajita Republic
I don't understand why people get so uptight about this. If I didn't like a certain restuarant for what ever reason, I would voice my concerns, for sure. However, don't you think it's a bit arrogant to try to kill somebody's livelihood because YOU don't think they are operating THEIR business the wa...

Re:Best place to but reallllly good tequila!
Casa Tequilla "IS" a great place. You can sample the different brands and get advice on each one. The only thing I noticed is that the price for a bottle of tequila was pretty high. Obviously you are paying for the service. I found out which tequila I liked by sitting at the bar in the Hard Rock Caf...

Re:Best place to but reallllly good tequila!
Don't expect cheaper anything at the airport duty free. For good tequila shop around the stores around PV. I found some Don Julio at the Lays store for around 300 Pesos. The Airport was atleast 100 Pesos more. There are several stores that sell good tequila around the Malecon and Old Town. Just go s...

Re:Beware of the Fajita Republic
I find the constant parade of vendors intruding on my meal a tad annoying too. Try eating at along Playa Los Muertos... but, that is all part of PV. As for the amount of readers of this board actually joining your crusade, by the time you rally enough support to make a dent in the volume of tourists...

Re:Beware of the Fajita Republic
Do you seriously believe any BB has the "pull" to go up against the TS industry. Do you know how much of the economy relies on TS?
Relax, accept that it is part of PV.

Re:Beware of the Fajita Republic
Take a deep breathe, relax and unwind your tensions about "Time Share Sharks". There have been countless posts complaining about TS. I have to admit, I found them annoying the first day or two. After they understand that you are not interested in their presentation offer, most of them are friendly a...

Re:RE-CAP First Time to PV
For snorkeling, take the bus down to Mismaloya, go down to the beach and ask for Isreal. He will take you out on his Panga snorkeling, supplying all the gear, If you want, he'll take you for a sightseeing our as well. Los Arcos is a virtual aquarium of bright coloured fish. It is an experience you w...

Re:Watch out at Kahlua
This problem is NOT exclusive to PV. There has been times here at home when I have questioned how many drinks are on my tab.
The best way is to pay as you go unless you know you only had one or two and look over la cuenta carefully before you pay.

Re:Where to go and what to do
I agree with vallartalover about going to Old Town area and Playa Los Muertos. There are so many great restaurants and bars there. As for snorkeling, we went to Mismaloya and hired Isreal and his panga for a couple of hours. He supplys all the gear and guides the dive at Los Arcos, a virtual aquariu...

Re:silver
We have found a trustworthy silver vendor just half a block south of The Burro's Bar. Roberto also weighs his .925 silver for price. His prices are not beach vendor prices but you won't have to worry about your skin turning green. Roberto will polish what you buy from him, days after you buy it or i...

If you email me, I will send you some coupons for the Blue Shrimp. Although some complain about the price, I have never had anything but good service and food. The Blue Shrimp is a good experience in PV.

Re:drinking age
This post kinda when off in a different direction. What I have seen and experienced is, although the drinking age is 18, if you look close to 18 and don't act like a child, you shouldn't have a problem in most places. The bars and clubs that are regular attractions for younger crowds may be more str...

Re:Felipe's & other places
Although I can't comment on Felipe's as I have never been there, I can express my opinion on Andale 'cause I've been there many atime. Andale is a great place to eat dinner if you plan on staying afterward. Although the food is good, it is not a "go out for dinner"restuarant in my opinion. I find th...
