Be careful for what you wish for.

You won't need a jacket even at night on the water in Vallarta. You might need an umbrella though. Usually the rain comes somewhere between late afternoon and in the night. It rains so hard sometimes in the evening that you are drenched in about 1 second before you get the umbrella up. So most peopl...

We have our own condo and don't even have our own beach towels. We always take the ones from the Holiday Inn (where our condo is) with us when we are going somewhere we need to take a beach towel. We turn them in the next day. Not a problem, as long as you have them all turned in by the time you che...

Early morning is usually fairly comfortable. Mid day is pool/beach time. Late afternoon is siesta time in the air-conditioning. Late afternoon and evening are really, really hot and humid. The humidity is the biggy plus the breeze often lays in the evening. Find a great restaurant for a late dinner....

Our original plans were for driving down (first time to drive) the first week of November, fly home for 3 weeks for the holidays, then drive back to St. Louis mid Feb. Since both of our sons are married to girls from Europe, they have all decided they are going to Europe for the Holidays. Soooo........

Don't think the resort won't be wise to all the games people play and being escorted out of the resort in front of all the other guests would be really embarrassing. Especially to your Mom. Just go to the front desk and pay the AI fee for her. They won't charge you for an extra person in the unit i...

Very nice post astrid. Hope you will continue to post. Maybe come November you can make plans to meet some forum members that will be in town. Being able to meet and make friends with people while in PV is the best part of being involved in these PV forums. We too were in Vallarta during the swine f...

Walk south along the malecon all the way to the bridge, veer to the left, almost to the river and beside the bridge, there is a place to get tacos al pastor. Yum! They are piled so high you get 2 tostadas under each one. 5 to a plate with grilled onions in the middle for 60p. Then walk back north an...

We ate at Mar Azul on the beach on the south side in early May. It is south of Burros' and next to Daquiri Dicks. The shrimp was wonderful as was the calamari appetizer. The best calamari I have ever had (not tough). Very nice place, with big waves crashing and good live music. Not cheap, but fairly...

Hi scox. The BuenaVentura has a great beach in front of it. We have never stayed there, but a great little beach front restaurant (El Baracuda) is right next door. We have eaten there several times, so it is easy to see the beach in front of the BuenaVentura. I have gone in the summer time numerous ...

Well, I am a little slow to getting around to finding this, but we spend a lot of time at the Holiday Inn. We own a condo in the tall building there, the Sea River Tower. The only time it is noisy at night is when they have a wedding reception, usually on a Sat. night. I have heard them play until 1...
