It's true, everyone has different expectations. We saw families working together, everything wasn't always clean and perfect - it was real. The Malecon itself is touristy, but we walked off the beaten path a bit and were comfortable with it. That may well not be everyone's cup of tea, but if I wante...

Great report, for future visitors, what are your impressions regarding the hotel: - we loved it. We plan to go back specifically to this hotel, and several of the people staying there are multiple repeat customers. I think that's a heck of a strong statement when there are that many clients that ret...

Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa

We chose this hotel because we wanted adults only and the ratings were very good. We didn't expect to have lucked out as we did though. We chose not to do the all-inclusive because we wanted to experience Puerto Vallarta's culture instead of feeling obligated to stay at the resort since this was the...

I wanted to thank everyone for answering our questions about Villa Premiere and about PV. The hotel was extremely clean and well attended. We did upgrade our room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We mostly ate out at the restaurants, many of those recommended here and they were brilliant recommendat...

I'd be guessing, but you may not be the first to try and leave a spouse on an island.... :D

Any other ones you would recommend? A friend here told me both Rhythms and the Buccaneer one are good. I suppose part of it is what one expects though.

Thanks folks. All feedback is welcome. We are a late 40's couple and we 've been thinking of this as the best option for meeting with some of our friends for an evening while there. The Buccaneers tour sounded ideal but we're open to all suggestions for a fun evening where there's dinner and a show....

Thank you Ronald! I think my hearing can take the booze aspect. I'm sure we'll give it our best shot anyway :-)4

Taxi fare - airport to Villa Premiere

Any idea what to expect for taxi fare from the airport to the Villa Premiere Hotel and Spa? I've heard the rates can be nasty if not educated first. Any guidance would be most welcome.

Zip lining - recommendations?

We've been looking at trying zip lining when we go to PV. Is there a particular tour operator/location to recommend?
