I'm a big fan of eggs, bacon, sausage, spam, baked beans, ham and spam.

After all, "there's not much spam in it."

Don't forget that Scott's Tours is right there across the bridge. Best prices in the area for tours. I really like that section of Bucerias, there's some great little restaurants, art galleries and beautiful places to stay. They've also done a nice job repaving the street so it's much nicer to ride ...

I only have personal experience to refer to. I have family in Toronto as well as family in Calgary... we've planned trips to PV together a number of times, and basically we in the west had to plan our trips around the few flights our Toronto clan could get. It seemed that we could fly almost any day...

On that page you say that most of the flights come from Toronto... let's be real, people in the east go to Cuba or Cancun. It's a much longer flight from TO to Vallarta than it is from Vancouver/Calgary/Edmonton to PV. If you're going to cater to Canadians, the west is where your target market is. T...

I think this is what you're thinking of. http://travel.usatoday.com/destinations/dispatches/post/2010/10/mexico-currency-law-pesos-dollars-drug-cartels/127503/1 American travelers bound for Cancun and other popular Mexican destinations have long been able to pay for meals, souvenirs and other goods ...

Most forums I'm a member of have a "report this post" button somewhere on the page. I can't seem to find one here, how do we report this crap?

I can honestly say that I haven't seen a MXN$2000 bill since they devalued the old Peso...

Looking on wikipedia, it appears that they do NOT currently have a $2K note.

Don't bother bringing traveler's cheques. Bring your ATM card - you'll get better exchange rates, and you'll have a pocket full of pesos, save yourself time and hassle.

Save yourself the hassle and take your ATM card. There is a service charge (check with your bank) but you'll get the best exchange that way.

The Westin is the better of the two & that's which one I would choose. The beach is a bit better too. Curious though, why rent a car? Public transport and taxis are cheap and plentiful in PV & there is NOWHERE to park in town. I recommend you save your money and drop the rental car. TIM

I traveled a lot with my parents when I was a kid. I asked my mom how she coped with a couple of young kids on airplanes.

Her reply?

"One word... GRAVOL."

Don't parents give their kids any drugs other than Ritalin anymore?

Question about fútbol (soccer) in PV

Just curious, but would the Chivas football team from Guadalajara be Puerto Vallarta's "local" soccer team?
