In the interests of sorting out this dichotomy, I stopped at the Zumba class this morning in Cardenas Park. Yes they run it 5 days a week. No they did not run it on Wednesday (Teachers Day), nor last Friday (Mothers Day). Just check each day because there is always some form of festival going on her...

Re: Help

I guess all post to help in one way or another, if someone says something wrong, there's no issue in correcting, but there's really no need to get into a fight over it... no? I was posting what I experienced with my own eyes. Kat was relying on someone else posting from last week. I know that she i...

Keith, Excuse me for posting the answer to another posters question. From now on I will ask your permission first before I read or post anything. :) You seem to think that postings from someone else carry more weight than actual observations. I guess we should consider you a "destination expert". I...

It is not a ghetto blaster but a pretty good sound system. I would guess that the only people disturbed by it would be light sleepers in the NE corner of Plaza Dorado. They were there on Monday but not on Wedneday.

I am in PV and we meet at the park to go walking at 8:30 am.

Thanks for the quotes kat. Keeps us all aware of your cyber life.

(I think they have cut back because there are fewer people here now.)

So are you saying you don't declare it?
We always declare it but assume it does not attract tax/duty. We are also a way under on the other declarations for being away 2 weeks or more.

It is on the east side of Nima Bay along with several other boutique restaurants (suchi, Indian...). We have been there twice to have their Chillis Rellenos stuffed with spicy meat (instead of cheese). Nelly was holding court the first time we ate there. La Europea is also on that stretch. And The S...

Also the old FM3s allowed a foreign-plated vehicle to be maintained, and now only the FMM allows that. IOW the vehicle must be removed when 180 days passes.

Also the new visas are wallet-sized, unlike the old FM3s.

There is no longer any FM2. In addition to the 180 day tourist visa, there is a four year temporary resident visa and a resident permanente which you get after 4 years of temporary visas. Both the latter enable you to spend more than 180 days in Mexico.

The drug-funded venues are along the Malecon. Andales and Apaches are locally owned and funded. And fun...

Andale's owner also owns condos on Olas Altas and rental apartments on Fca Rodriguez. He is certainly influential like Howard says.

It was actually a friend kat. She was ripped off for over $100 including T-shirt purchases. The policia said she had to pay even though it was clearly a rippoff. I guess living here for 7 months along with many resident acquaintances does expose me to many more situations than the 2-week wonders. Bu...

It is OK of you are over 50 and get your kicks out of drinking. If you like dancing and younger people, La Bodeguita Del Medio is a better choice. Just watch your bill because they are known cheats.
