When we were there in January, our waiter automatically added a 20% tip too. Now keep in mind, we were with our party friends and had several rounds of pretty expensive shots of tequila....so #1, we were not a bunch of work that really required a 20% tip and #2 maybe he thought we had so much that w...

Our condo is located at Sea River Tower, the Holiday Inn. When we purchased the condo we had the developer remodel it and had it made into a 2 bedroom. All the appliances and furnishings are new within the last 2 years. Regarding asking price, we are still working that out at I'm trying to reach a N...

Overview of PV Trip

Better late than never... We were in PV for a few weeks in mid-to-late January and had, as usual, a great time. Each time we go to PV we do one "touristy" type activity. This time it was the 4 hour whale watching trip, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We seen alot of whales, the dolphins raced the boat ...

Realtor Recommendations

We are going to put our condo up for sale and would like some recommendations for Realtors. The realtor we used to purchase the condo is no longer in PV, so we are starting from ground zero. Obviously we need someone trustworthy etc. Also, should I be contacting a Notario regarding calculating the c...

My suggestion would be to find accomodations now rather than once you arrive. We have had our condo rented for the month of January 08 since last February. The good deals go fast.

Hi,

We advertise our condo on vrbo.com. On vrbo.com you will find many legitimate condos, apts, and villas for rent in Puerto Vallarta.

Also, you may want to try rentalo.com as that is another site that alot of pv property owners advertise on as well.

Good luck,
June

On one of our very first trips, we hired a local taxi cab driver for a hour city tour which cost $20 USD. It was great learning about the city from his personal perspective.

Can't help you on the AI as we've never stayed AI in PV, however taxis from Sea River Tower ( the Holiday Inn, north hotel zone) run about 30 pesos to either the Malecon or Marina. Prices in May will be a little lower, as the highest season will be over. As far as places to look for tickets etc. we ...

We were in PV last October and are going again next month. We thought the weather was fabulous. Most days were between 85-90 degrees F, a little on the humid side, but not terrible or unbearable. Reminded us of July and August here in Iowa.

Enjoy your trip,
June

You will be happy at Sea River...OK, I'm a little partial as we have a condo there.... There are not alot of restaurants close by to walk to, however I would suggest that stand right on the beach, a little north of the HI, for good street food. The grilled shrimps sticks are great! Also, we've heard...
