July weather

You will get sunshine and heat with some rain in the late afternoons, for which you will probably be very grateful.

Mexico Security

Hi there: I haven't been on the board in awhile and didn't realize you had joined. We have passed several times in the street as I live in the same general area as you and have seen you walking your dog. I enjoy your writing and have been to a couple of your talks for the writers club. I look forwar...

What happens if your flight is delayed for any reason? Do they come back, do they wait, do they just cancel your reservation? This is what has stopped me from booking it in the past.

The guy at the Telcel store where we bought it - (Roberto - on Insurgentes) said it was possible to do this. I have managed to find a website - but of course it's in spanish and I can't read it! I work with a girl who speaks Spanish and I'll keep you posted if we figure it out. It certainly would b...

Massages

I just had my 3rd massage today at Healing Hands downtown on Pipila. It was wonderful. The first 2 times I had the relaxing massage but today I had the deep tissue one - 75 minutes for $35.00US. I'll definitely be going again before I leave. My husband had 2 there in the last couple of weeks and our...

Nice review, Mike. I was just going to pm you and ask if you had made it to Hacienda San Angel. I'm sorry it turned out the way it did but we were all thinking of you that day and wondering if the weather would affect your decision. The restaurant does have a large area that is under a roof but if t...

Ambien CR does not come in generic yet.

I thought it was awfully expensive, too, so I didn't buy it, but haven't found it anywhere else that I've looked either.

Farmacia Guadalajara doesn't carry Ambien and none of the pharmacies carry Ambien CR, which I was told is not available in Mexico. But regular Ambien is and the place I looked on Constitutiion had 100 for $75.00 US.
I don't know about the other items you asked about.

I would go to any of the Tel-Cel kiosks, which are located all over town.

Sandy, since you come here every year anyway why not spend the $20.00 on a cellphone and have it everytime you want it? It is extremely convenient. Or if you're bringing a laptop buy a Magic Jack or download Skype. See you soon,

What can you guys tell me?? Have a tentative booking here for Feb 12-26th. We stayed at the San Marino last year. Is this close by? Anything close to it? Thanks for the heads up. We arrive the day before New Years eve, do you think that is to late to make reservations? No, not too late for most places. The restaurants are hurting and you should be able to find places to go with no big problem. Not everyplace will be like that, though, so you're taki...

Of the 3 of them Tropicana is in the better location, on Los Muertos beach and not too far from the pier. Canto del Sol is out in the hotel zone and the Buenaventura is in the north end of downtown. It's beach is a bit rocky but they do have a restaurant overlooking it.
