Buyer's market

All the signs point in a buyer's market direction, if I had money now, this would be the time to buy (and haggle too).

Remember to visit the area at night and during the weekends, to get an idea of the general environment too (noise, neighbors).

Good luck with it and enjoy PV!

Joke

It's just a convoluted joke. I don't know the US team but I can guess many are in some way related to the rest of America, specially south of the border, that was all.

As they say in Spanish an explained joke stinks... :-)

Most of them are fun

Most of the places on the Malecon are fun, I think Collage is closed so the only foam party in town seems to be held at the Señor Frogs. Zoo bar has always been a bit too hip-hoppity crass for my taste. Drug dealers, barfing kids? Where have you been going! Never encountered either in the nightclubs...

Museums and cuture

New section: Museums and Culture, there is already a list of art galleries. Some of the options that existed in the past are no longer open, such as the Manuel Lepe Museum, the Burton Taylor house museum and the Set of the Night of the Iguana at Mismaloya. http://www.puertovallarta.net/what_to_do/mu...

good option

Yep Rosie, it's a good option if you are staying in one of the cheaper hotels in town and would like a day at the beach with a margarita in your hand and still stay on the budget side. I visited the Playa Los Arcos last time I was in town and the pool looked rather busy, but it was also that time of...

Income

From what I gather of the Mexican immigration rules now, you need a minimum of 2000 dollars a month income to be able to stay permanently and I guess to have a visa where you'd be able to earn money in the country... anyone have any more reliable info?

Sold out

Keith will of course not be a ridiculous "sir" because he won't accept it, not like prissy Jagger who sold out and is like McCartney, so full of himself.

Moved

Moved this topic to a separate thread. Can anyone in PV check the internet speed latency and so on? In any case, it's important if you are going to rely entirely on an ISP in Mexico to test the service before relocating... there are quite a few more options today and we can hope they'll improve over...
