I've been on many excursions over the years in PV, and the only one I wouldn't recommend is the Pirate Ship at night. We went on it a couple years ago and it was so crammed with people you could hardly move, it was nearly impossible to get a drink and the food was awful (the food poisoning I got did...

With 3 teenagers the only thing you have to worry about is getting them back to the hotel at a reasonable hour on Christmas eve! I've been to PV a couple times for Christmas and it was a blast Christmas eve. Christmas day didn't get going until about noon as everybody was sleeping off the night befo...

I've been to PV in July and once you're over the humidity (couple hours tops) it's quite wonderful. The weather is perfect, hot and sunny all day and a nice thunder shower at about 5PM 50% of the time. Spend the day on the beach, the afternoon over cocktails, flake out for an hour in the evening and...

We're engaged - GCP wedding?

OK, Amy and I are engaged and are planning a tropical wedding - our last trip to PV was at the GCP & we're thinking about getting married there. Anyone on these boards know about weddings at the GCP and who to talk to about planning one? We're thinking it's the perfect spot especially with the Crown...

Great report, nice to hear that the Decameron is even better! I have to agree with you about the Pirate Ship sunset cruise. Way too full, cold, service was slow and the drinks sucked. On top of all that, I got seriously ill thanks to the dinner they served, and ended up spending the next day in bed....

I'm having a hard time getting thru the next two DAYS! I can't wait - due to work schedules, Amy and I haven't managed to get south for 3 years! Maybe we'll have to add another trip or two this year to make up for it.

Posting and you!

Funny & educational!

May not be safe for work especially if your boss is a royal twit (slightly foul language).

Joel & Janice... have you taken your service dog to Mexico? If not, you might want to check around about access. I would think that most restaurants will make you leave the dog at home/at the resort... Mexico is not the PC country that the US or Canada is - business owners are not obliged to let any...

Have a great trip Helen!

Merry Christmas everyone (of course it wouldn't bother me if it was January 5th already)!
