Puerto Vallarta will be filled with cultural and tourist events throughout 2024

During the first quarter of the year, Puerto Vallarta will host a variety of cultural and tourist events for both locals and visitors. The eighth edition of the Reading Fair, the International Madonnari Festival, Carnival, and the “Dama Juana” Raicilla Festival are among the events scheduled, as reported by Luis Jesús Escoto Martínez, director of the Vallarta Institute of Culture (IVC).

Martínez mentioned that they are still finalizing the annual events agenda for 2024, including some new additions and others that have already gained excellent responses from Vallartans, business owners, and tourists.

One notable event is the Puerto Vallarta Reading Fair 2024, scheduled from January 25th to February 5th. The fair will feature a diverse book exhibition, creating spaces for promoting reading at the Ignacio L. Vallarta Plaza de Armas.

Additionally, from February 9th to 11th, the Madonnari Festival 2024 will take place, organized by the Sister Cities Committee Puerto Vallarta-Santa Barbara. The festival has already attracted 21 professional artists from this city and other states, and both children and adults can participate for free by creating chalk art on the floor of the Plaza de Armas.

The Carnival Puerto Vallarta will return from February 22nd to 24th, filling the city with festivities, music, and a lively atmosphere. The event will include a grand parade through the city center, themed stages, the coronation of LGBT community queens, the “ugly king,” and more, expecting around 20,000 attendees.

In March, the Dama Juana Raicilla Festival will take place, featuring an interesting program of talks, workshops, music, and other activities centered around this beverage.

Martínez emphasized the significant role that businesses play in cultural and tourist events, as they provide support, such as financial resources, accommodation for artists, flights, and more. Educational institutions in the city also contribute their talent to various activities.

Finally, he highlighted that the annual events agenda for Puerto Vallarta, including some with national and international significance, will be published in the coming days.
