Mexico Pesos & Currancy Rates
Post
by bbbhug2001 » Wed Jan 03, 2007 9:04 pm
I found that going to the airport Currancy House,(Travelx),Has a good rate at 8.31. As of January 3,2007.
Call first to confirm the rate and to see if they have currancy in that day.
If you need to get money in pesos that day, You can always get travels cheques at your bank,And you can cash them when you are down in Mexico, The banks will ask for photo I.D ect.., go early to the banks if you can.

I don't find exchanging usd for pesos at a casa de cambio much of a hassel. The prices are posted, I don't ever remember a wait at all and they will break down the larger bills for tips when asked.

I have to agree that the atm is the easiest way to go.....and the exchange rate is always good.....and you can find them everywhere.
